Case Description:
Ms. Wu Naiying filed a criminal complaint against Jiang in June 2015, only to be arrested again on November 14, 2016. Her family learned from the detention center director in mid-December 2017 that she was sentenced to 3 years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan months ago, on September 29. The family, however, was never informed of her court appearance. Ms. Wu filed an appeal, but it was soon rejected by Shenyang City Intermediate Court. She was transferred to Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on January 9, 2018. While Ms. Wu was released in November 2019, she was in a state of losing half memory and couldn’t speak clearly. She passed away on December 16, 2021 as a result of sever tortures on both body and mind.
