Case Description:
Mr. Wang Guanghui, a researcher at Anhui Academy of Social Sciences, was arrested on March 15, 2014, for sending text messages about Falun Gong. He was sentenced to three years in prison in 2015 and taken to Suzhou Prison. As he refused to renounce his faith, he was put in solitary confinement and subjected to ongoing abuse. He was also deprived of sleep for a long time. He was released on March 14, 2017. His health had been declining and he passed away on January 19, 2019.
