Mr. Chen Zaishan, in his 80s and from Haiyang City, Shandong Province, was doing some light farm work when a group of officers showed up and arrested him on the morning of November 9, 2018. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books in front of his bedridden wife. Then they took him to the Kaifa District Police Station, where a police officer beat him.NNWhen Mr. Chen protested the officer beating him, the officer responded: “It’s fine for us to beat Falun Gong practitioners to death.”NNMr. Chen passed away in the winter of 2022.
