(Clearwisdom.net) On June 14, 2008, the Filipino Centre Toronto held an activity at Nathan Phillips Square to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Philippine's independence. The Lotus Performing Arts and Divine Land Marching Band, both consisting of Falun Gong practitioners, performed at the celebration.

Audience enjoys performances by Falun Gong practitioners
The Lotus Performing Arts performed traditional Chinese dances, which attracted many people, and they also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. One woman in the audience said that she followed along with practitioners doing the exercises, and felt a strong energy flux going through her body. She is from the Philippines, and was shocked when she learned about the persecution.
Learning the exercises
Ms. Linda Javier, the chair of the Filipino Centre Toronto, welcomed the Falun Gong practitioners' performances. She said: "They are nice and healthy. Their costumes are beautiful, and their performances are great. So we always invite them to our events."
After the performances, the practitioners marched in the celebration parade. They also played the Philippine national song at the conclusion of the parade.
