(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in thirty cities or counties in eleven provinces. In this report, twenty-four practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least forty-three practitioners were {illegally arrested}.
1. [Beijing] Mr. Meng Xianghui and Ms. Cheng Pingde Arrested
In the afternoon of August 28, 2009, policemen from the Fengtai {610 Office} of Beijing broke into a military compound at 3 Huaishulingling, Fengtai District and arrested Mr. Meng Xianghui and his wife Ms. Chen Deping, leaving their school age child unattended. Policemen also intended to arrest another practitioner, but she was not at home at the time, so the officers left after waiting for two hours.

Ms. Chen Sujie was arrested by policemen from the Goubangzi Police Sub-station on September 3, 2009.

3. [Faku County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Guojie and Ms. Wu Qiuju Arrested
On the morning of September, 2009, several policemen from the Dagujiazi Township Police Station, Faku County arrested Ms. Wu Qiuju and Ms. Liu Guojie from Xiaoerfang Village.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Lan Arrested
Ms. Lu Lan was arrested at her home on September 2, 2009.
5. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Dechun Jailed in the Nanshan Prison
On May 19, 2009, Mr. Li Dechun from the No. 4 Group, Lalatun Village, Liucheng Township, Chaoyang County was arrested by officers from the county police department, and taken to the county detention center. He was recently sentenced to three years in prison, and taken to the Nanshan Prison, Jinzhou City on August 25.

6. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information On Ms. Bai Xiulan's Arrest
Ms. Bai Xiulan, 53 years old, from the No. 2 Building, Yangguang Residential Area in Shanshan District, Beipiao City was reported to officials while {clarifying the truth} on August 30. The following day, policemen from the Beipiao Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Bai's home and ransacked her house. They confiscated all the Falun Dafa books and copies of the {Nine Commentaries on Communist Party}. Then, the police arrested Ms. Bai Xiulan and took her to their headquarters, where they tried to force her to reveal the source of the truth clarification materials. She was taken to the Beipiao Detention Center on the same day. The officials extorted one thousand yuan from her family, calling it a fine.

7. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhou Yujie Arrested
On September 2, 2009, Mr. Zhou Yujie from Yushu City was reported to officials while clarifying the truth at a shop, and subsequently was arrested by Domestic Security Division personnel.
8. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Jinpin's Whereabouts Unknown
As of early August, the whereabouts of Ms. Zhang Jinping from Congwen District, Beijing are still unknown.
9. [Beijing] Ms. Lu Fengchun and Her Sister Arrested
Ms. Lu Fengchun and her sister Lu Fengling from Miyun were arrested by local policemen on August 31, 2009.
10. [Shanghai] Mr. Cheng Bo Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Cheng Bo was an employee of Moody International China in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park. He was arrested on August 31, 2009 on his way from the Danda Boiler Factory in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province to the Green Factory in Gushan Road, Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province. Currently, his whereabouts are unknown.
11. [Guanxian County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Hongmei Arrested
Ms. Zhang Hongmei, 40 years old, was from Dongsong Village, Yanzhang Township, Guanxian County. On the morning of August 31, 2009 she was arrested by policemen from the township police station while talking to people about Falun Gong. Currently, she is being held at the Guanxian County Police Department.
12. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Shoulan Arrested
Ms. Ma Shoulan was followed and arrested on the morning of August 31, 2009 while talking to people about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.
13. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Cuihua Arrested
On September 3, 2009, Ms. Chen Cuihua from Penglai City was arrested by local policemen, and her house was ransacked. Currently, her whereabouts are unknown.
14. [Leling City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jing Arrested
At approximately 2 p.m. on September 1, 2009, several policemen from the Leling City Police Department's 610 Office went to a mobile phone shop, where 30 year-old Ms. Wang Jing was working, and arrested her while confiscating all her personal belongings. The police then ransacked her home.
15. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Kangfushui Arrested and Taken to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp
At approximately 10 a.m. on August 6, 2009, Ms. Guo Shuhua and Mr. Kang Fushui were watching a Falun Gong video program. Offices from the Beijichang Police Station in Xishan (86-312-8830092) and the Criminal Police Division Yixian County Police Department forced their way into their home and arrested them. Ms. Guo's elder son, who was asleep at the time, was also arrested. The police confiscated a color TV set and a DVD player. The son was released that afternoon, and then the police ransacked Ms. Guo's house. They broke into Mr. Kang Fushui's house and even dug up the floor to search for "evidence", but failed to find anything.
Ms. Guo's family was extorted out of more than ten thousand yuan before she was bailed out for medical treatment. Mr. Kang Fushui was taken to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp and sentenced to one year of forced labor.
16. [Weixian County, Hebei Province] Mr. Feng Hexian Arrested
Mr. Feng Hexian was arrested on September 3, 2009 by policemen from the Domestic Security Division.
17. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yan Chunhuan Arrested
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on September 1, 2009, Ms. Yan Chunhuan from Houyi Township, Yongqing County was arrested at her home by officers from the county police department. The police also took cash and household goods from her home. Currently, Ms. Yan is being held at the Yongqing County Police Department.
18. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zuo Shuping and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
On September 2, Tang Guoli and officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Yunhe Police Sub-Station, Cangzhou City arrested Ms. Zuo Shuping, Ms. Zhao Lanjun (a handicapped individual over 60 years old) and Xiao Tian. As a result, Ms. Zuo's son could not study for his university entrance exam, and Xiao Tian's mentally handicapped son was left unattended.

19. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Information on the Persecution of Ms. Liu Fengyun
On the evening of December 15, 2008, Ms. Liu Fengyun was reported to officials while clarifying the truth at a residential area, and subsequently arrested by policemen from the Dongyao Police Station, Lubeiqu District, Tangshan City. Her house was ransacked, and all the Dafa books and the truth-clarification materials were confiscated. She was detained at the Dongyao Police Station for one night, and then taken to the Tangshan Detention Center, where she was detained for 15 days. On December 31, 2008, she was taken to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp, Tangshan City after being sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. A health check revealed that she suffered from high blood pressure, so the forced labor camp officials refused to admit her. Ms. Liu was returned to the Dongyao Police Station, where officials extorted 1,500 yuan from her.

20. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wu Zhiping Sentenced to Three Years In Prison
On the afternoon of October 18, 2008, Ms. Wu Zhiping and Ms. Lu Lingxiang, employees of Nanchang Iron and Steel in Nanchang City, went to the outskirts of town to distribute Falun Gong materials. They were reported to officials and arrested by policemen from the Qingyunpu Police Department. Later Nanchang Iron and Steel company Police Department officials, in collaboration with the Qingyunpu Police Department, sent the two practitioners to the Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center.
Ms. Lu lingxiang was detained for approximately two months, sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor, and transferred to the Jiangxi Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp. After she was illegally detained, the Qingyunpu Court conducted Ms. Wu's trial on April 9, 2009. The Qingyunpu Police Department officials requested that she receive a three and a half year imprisonment. Wu Zhiping was jailed in the Nanchang City Detention Center. One month later, the legal department extorted ten thousand yuan from Ms. Wu's family in exchange for reducing her sentence to six months. On June 3, Ms. Wu Zhiping was taken to the Jiangxi Provincial Women's Prison to serve a three-year sentence.
21. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Kai Rendered Homeless
Ms. Zhao Kai, an elderly practitioner from Taiyuan City, was reported for distributing Falun Gong materials in July 2009. She was arrested and taken to the Qianfeng Police Station. Ms. Zhao was sentenced to forced labor, but since she was seriously ill, she was bailed out for medical treatment. She was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.

22. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Huayun and Her Mother Arrested
On September 1, 2009, Ms. Zhang Huayun and her mother from Chengdu were reported to officials while clarifying the facts and were then arrested. That evening, their home was ransacked.
23. [Shaodong County, Hunan Province] Mr. Zeng Zhiyuan Arrested
Mr. Zeng Zhiyuan from Shaodong County was arrested on August 31 while downloading information at an Internet cafe. At around 11 p.m., his wife was also taken to the Anxin Police Station, and later transferred to the No. 3 Police Station in Guilin City.

24. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhao Luosheng Arrested
Mr. Zhao Luosheng from Yiyang City, Hunan Province was arrested around August 10, 2009. He is currently being held in the No. 2 Detention Center of Yiyang City.

25. [Chongqing City] Mr. Li Jiming and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
On September 2, 2009, Mr. Li Jiming, Mr. Kuang Xinrong and Ms. Huang Taifang were arrested by officials. Mr. Li Jiming was released and returned home at 8 p.m., but the whereabouts of the other practitioners are still unknown.
26. [Chongqing City] Ms. Zhu Yixiu Arrested
On the morning of August 12, policemen from the Baiyan Police Station and Wanzhou District Police Department collaborated with the Gaotang Neighborhood Committee and broke into Ms. Zhu Yixiu's home. The officials robbed her belongings before taking Ms. Zhu to the Zhoujiaba Detention Center in Wanzhou District.
27. [Yongji City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Qi Weisheng Arrested
Mr. Qi Weisheng was detained by officials from the local 610 Office.

29. [Yongji County, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Policemen from the Chaluhe Township Police Station, Yongji County arrested Mr. Li Bailong and Mr. Yang Chenghua.
Officials from the Wanchang Township Police Station, Yongji County failed in an attempt to arrest Mr. Zhang Yanbiao and Ms. Huo Yanhua.
Policemen from the Yilaxi Township Police Station, Yongji County went to the Qingfayuan Village of former Sanjiazi Township on the afternoon of August 31. They asked Ms. Cao Jingyun and her daughter to write the {Three Statements}, but they refused. At 2 a.m. on September 1, officials arrested both mother and daughter, and detained them at a brainwashing center.
30. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Chunmei Arrested
Ms. Li Chunmei from Beidouyan Village, Wuquan Township, Guangling County, Datong City was reported to officials on the evening of August 20, 2009 and was then arrested. Currently, she is being held at the Datong City Detention Center.
31. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gai Chunxiang Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Gai Chunxiang was arrested and taken to the city's Chinese Communist Party Cadre School by officials from the Laiyang 610 Office on July 23, 2009, and then transferred to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp on August 27.
32. [Pixian County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yuangru Arrested
Ms. Zhang Yuanru, 66, and her sister Zhang Yuanzhen were arrested while clarifying the truth, and were taken to the Pixian County Detention Center at about 10 p.m., August 31, 2009.
33. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Wei Arrested
Ms. Liu Wei was arrested by policemen from the Yuhua Road Police Station, Shijiazhuang City in early September, 2009. She is currently held at the Hebei Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp.
34. [Chongqing City] Ms. Zhang Bangrun Sentenced to Forced Labor
On around August 21, Ms. Zhang Bangrun from Jingkou Township, Shapingba District, Chongqing City was sentenced to one year of forced labor, and taken to the Jiangbei Women's Forced Labor Camp by officials from the Jingkou Police Station.
35. [Chongqing City] Ms. Chen Qixiu Rendered Homeless
Ms. Chen Qixiu, over 60 years old, was forced to leave home in order to avoid arrest.
36. [Shandong Province] Ms. Mao Jiangxin Arrested for a Second Time
Ms. Mao Jiangxin, 54 years old, was a kindergarten teacher in the Qilu Petrochemical Complex. She was dismissed from her job for practicing Falun Gong. In 2002, she was arrested by policemen from Linzi District and sentenced to four years in prison.
In September 2007, Mao Jiangxin was arrested again by local policemen and sentenced to two years of imprisonment.
37. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Information has surfaced indicating that more than 20 practitioners have been arrested since mid-August by policemen from the Shiyan City 610 Office. The practitioners were detained at the Xiajiadian Brainwashing Center, Shiyan City Legal Education Base, and on the fifth floor of the Zhangwan Police Department. The practitioners confirmed to have been arrested include:
Mr. Li Wengai, employed at the Technical Center of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and his wife (surnamed Chen, also a practitioner)
Ms. Zhou Ping, 46 years old, from Hanjiagou Village, Shiyan City
Ms. Zheng Ylan, 70 years old, a retired employee of the Dongfeng Motor Corporation
Ms. Song Yuehua, 56, a professor at Yunyang Medical College
Ms. Zhang Xiancui, 56, a professor at Yunyang Medical College
38. [Xinye County, Henan Province] Mr. Wei Wuxian and Ms. Chen Fengge Suffer from Persecution
On around November 23, 2001, Mr. Wei Wuxian, 40, and Ms. Chen Fengge, 41, from Weizai Village, Shi'an Township, Xinye County were arrested by local policemen while distributing Falun Gong materials in the township's Xingwu Village. They were beaten up by policemen from the Shi'an Police Station and taken to the Xinye County Detention Center that evening. Officials from the Xinye Police Department, and Peng Tonglan from the 610 Office stole all their money and some personal belongings, including their pagers. The police ordered criminals in the facility to beat the two practitioners. In cold winter conditions, they were not allowed to wear warm clothing, and the criminals poured cold water on their heads. Their families went to the police station and 610 Office to request their release. The two practitioners were released only after officials extorted 5,000 yuan from their families. At that time, they had already been detained and abused for 17 days.
34. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Yonghong and Two Other Practitioners Face Trial
The Qingyang District Court of Chengdu City planned to put Mr. Li Yonghong, Mr. Yu Bing and Ms. Xu Li on trial on September 4.
35. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Mr. Meng Xianyong Arrested
On the morning of August 2009, Mr. Meng Xianyong, 38 years old from Nangutuan Village, Honghe Township, Changle County and his wife were arrested while selling apples in the Atuo Market, by more than 20 policemen from the Honghe Township Police Station, including officials from the Changle County 610 Office. Subsequently, their home was ransacked. Currently, they are being held at the Honghe Police Station.
36. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Xiaolong Imprisoned
Mr. Liu Xiaolong, 38 years old, a teacher at the Department of Biophysics of Harbin Teacher's University, was arrested by policemen from the Fengtai Police Sub-station on November 23, 2000 for printing Falun Gong materials, and for going to Beijing to validate the Fa. Officials confiscated approximately 8,000 yuan, as well as a cell phone and other personal belongings.
On December 9, 2000, policemen from the Harbin City Police Department took Mr. Liu Xiaolong back from Beijing, and jailed him at the Yaziquan Detention Center. On October 25, 2001, the Nangang District Court sentenced him to 15 years in prison. On February 27 of the following year, he was taken to Harbin Jail, and then transferred to Mudanjiang Prison for additional persecution.
At the end of October 2004, prison guards from Mudanjiang Prison did not allow Mr. Wang Xueshi, Mr. Liu Xiaolong and other practitioners to sleep, and forced them to perform hard labor.
Mr. Liu's family members went to the Mudanjiang Prison to visit him in August 2008, during the 2009 Chinese New Year period, and August 2009, but officials refused all the visitation attempts.
37. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liang Xiangjiao Persecuted
Ms. Liang Xiangjiao from Wuhan City was taken from his home by the policemen on July 15, 2009, and her family was not allowed to visit her. Currently, she is being held at the No. 28 Brainwashing Center of Jiang'an District. Ms. Liang has become emaciated as a result of the persecution.
38. [Lishu County, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Zeyang and Ms. Di Lihua Arrested
Sui Baoshan, head of the Lishu Township Domestic Security Division, Lishu County and two of his men broke into Mr. Liu Zeyang's home at 3 p.m. on August 28, and arrested him.
Officials hid outside the Lishu Township Chinese Traditional Medical College at around 8 p.m. on August 30, and arrested Ms. Di Lihua on her way home. The following day, Ms. Di was taken to the Changchun Forced Labor Camp without notifying her family.
39. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhou Huifeng and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhou Huifen, Mr. Chen Zhengfa and Mr. Yang Cheng from Jinyun County were arrested between August 10 to September 10, 2009. Mr. Chen Zhengfa was arrested by officers from the Liandu District Police Department, Lishui City and the 610 Office, who also confiscated three computers from his home.
40. [Chongqing City] Ms. Kuang Wenyin Placed On Trial
The Tongnan County Court has scheduled a trial for Ms. Kuang Wenying on the afternoon of September 4.
