(Minghui.org) A human being has a soul. When writing an article, we should also give it a soul. An article will not move readers if it does not shine with much thought. When practitioners write truth clarification articles, please remember to give them a soul. Dafa practitioners are people with high virtue who are saving sentient beings. They are not individuals who are trapped in hardship, begging for sympathy from the world's people.
Articles like the following are frequently published: On (a particular day), a Dafa practitioner from (location) was persecuted (arrested, or his home was searched). After he was persecuted, his family experienced financial difficulty, or nobody looked after his elderly parents or young child. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) does its utmost to persecute practitioners financially, physically and emotionally, so we hope that people will show their sympathy and help.
What will non-practitioners think when they read such articles? What will lead them to show sympathy? What influence will the article have? Perhaps non-practitioners think like this: “Poor Dafa practitioners! However, practicing Falun Gong will bring me trouble, so it's better not to practice. Otherwise, I may make my own life difficult. If I want to help them, I'd better do it privately. I can't let people know that I'm connected to Falun Gong. The police are evil but it's better not to bother them.” If non-practitioners have such thoughts, will they be resistant in their hearts when we clarify the truth to them and ask them to withdraw from the CCP and affiliated organizations?
If we give our article a soul and place ourselves on a higher moral level, sentient beings will be moved after reading it. Perhaps some thoughts expressed as: “In such a world where morality has degenerated and people are at the critical point of life and death, practitioners - though persecuted in such a messy world, still try their best to hinder the downward slide of moral values and save sentient beings. They are persecuted and this has something to do with me. They have such higher virtue and should be so highly respected, our hearts go out to them. Their stories are so touching. To help them and denounce the evil is actually helping ourselves. We should be proud to extend our hands to help them. Even better, if we can be one of them, we will not fear anything even if we're in danger.”
If non-practitioners read articles with these kinds of thoughts, then what will they do when we clarify the truth to them and ask them to withdraw from the CCP? They will be very happy to do it.
Therefore, when we mention the persecution in our articles, the purpose is to expose the nature of the CCP but not to receive sympathy from the world's people. We shouldn't be like beggars who cuddle up in a corner and say to pedestrians, “Please give me one coin. See how pathetic I am!” We are here to help Teacher in Fa-rectification and save sentient beings. Though we are persecuted, we should be highly respected.
