(Minghui.org) Today's news from China include incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 2 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Mingxing Tortured
Mr. Gao Mingxing was arrested by Domestic Security agents in Dandong on August 1, 2007, after he attempted to broadcast programming explaining the truth about Falun Dafa on cable television on February 4 and August 25, 2004. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He was first held in Panjin Prison, then transferred to Shenyang Prison and tortured to the brink of death.
Mr. Gao was secretly transferred to an unknown location at the end of June 2013.
2. [Chongqing] Mr. Shi Shitian Arrested
Mr. Shi Shitian from Guangshun Town, Rongchang County, Chongqing, was arrested when he talked to people about Falun Gong and handed out DVDs on August 5, 2013. He was held in the Rongchang Detention Center for ten days.
He was taken to the Geleshan Brainwashing Center on September 9, 2013, and released on September 27, 2013.

3. [Guanghan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Guixiang and Ms. Xie Yuanxiu Arrested
Ms. Li Guixiang and Ms. Xie Yuanxiu were reported to the police when they talked to people about Falun Gong in the Xiwai Township on October 6, 2013. Zhou Chengshi from the Xiwai Police Station, Yang Bin from the Domestic Security Division, and other officers took them to a police station. Ms. Xie was picked up by her family that same day. Ms. Li's whereabouts is unknown.
4. [Chongqing] Ms. Peng Shibi Sentenced
Ms. Peng Shibi from the Shapingba District was sentenced to three years in prison on July 17, 2013. She has filed an appeal.
5. [Huolinguole, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhou Liying Tortured
Ms. Zhou Liying was arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong in Wangkejia, Wulanhoute, on May 25, 2013. Her attorney met with her on the afternoon of September 23, 2013. During her imprisonment, Ms. Zhou has been tortured until she became mentally disoriented and extremely weak.
