(Minghui.org) "Disappearance" is one of the extremely serious crimes perpetrated by any government. It refers to victims who are arrested and detained and whose situation and location are then concealed with no legal recourse.
After many Falun Gong practitioners have been arrested and detained, their family members could not visit them and knew nothing of their well-being. Even if they knew the location of detention, the authorities withheld all other information. Relatives of Falun Gong practitioners who have been "disappeared," please report to the Falun Gong Human Rights working group through the Minghui website.
In any society, enforced disappearance undermines our most basic values, including the rule of law, human rights, and fundamental freedom. As a part of a broad and systematic attack against certain populations, this is a crime against humanity.
Ms. Zhang Yunhe was born on November 2, 1973. She graduated in accounting from Qingdao University and worked in the Derui Company in Qingdao. She lived on 44 Shanxian Road, South District, Qingdao City. She was arrested by police from Qingdao City in 2002. According to the report, the arrest was ordered by the Shandong Province Public Security Bureau. Qingdao City Public Security Bureau didn’t inform her family about her arrest. She was detained for over half a year in female cell #208 in Dashan Detention Center, Qingdao City. She was then secretly detained in the Shandong Women’s Prison. Qingdao City and Shandong Province Public Security Bureau didn’t notify Ms. Zhang Yunhe’s family of her arrest, detention, sentence, or prison. This is a very serious crime.

After the Shandong Women’s Prison moved from Jinan Industrial South Road to a new address near Zhangqiu, people called the prison to inquire about Ms. Zhang many times. But the prison staff always answered falsely, “You called a wrong number. This is a residential phone number.”
After a few months, Ms. Zhang’s family asked Shandong Province Prison Administration to investigate this matter, but the prison administration kept silent for a long time. Deputy director Zhang Weining promised to look into it, but when Ms. Zhang’s sister inquired about the matter a week later, Zhang didn’t give an answer and they still claimed the phone number was a residential number and that the inquiry was harassment. MS. Zhang’s relatives inquired after Qing Sipeng, Wang Mincheng, Miao Yukuang, Liang Lujie, Jia Jisheng, Qiao Xiju, and Zhou Jianshe to the Prison Administration Department and didn't get any results. Later they called the prison again. The answer was always “wrong number,” although the caller ID showed the number was correct.
Shandong Province Prison Administration took no action in Ms. Zhang Yunhe's case, clearly a dereliction of duty.
Because the need for rescue is urgent, please notify the Minghui website via the secure channel if you have ever seen Ms Zhang and if you know the year, month, and date (the year and month are most important) when Ms. Zhang was detained in the Shandong Women’s Prison and her condition at that time.
If anyone knows the details about Ms. Zhang's arrest in 2002 or the secret sentence after that, please let us know who arrested her--a police officer or a plainclothes officer? Did they show any ID, such as the name of the police station handling the case, the court name, how many years she was sentenced to, and on what counts.
