(Minghui.org) Mr. Zhao Longzhi, his wife Ms. Luo Na, both age 33, are Falun Gong practitioners who had resided in Tibet. On January 31, 2006, amid the Chinese New Year holiday season, local police officers and 610 Office agents ransacked their home and arrested them. The authorities did so because they suspected that Mr. Zhao Longzhi and Ms. Luo Na were distributing truth clarification materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Hong was also arrested. The police did not allow the couple's family to visit them. In October 2006, the couple was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
The three practitioners have remained steadfast in their belief in Falun Gong. Mr. Zhao Longzhi has been held in the Qushui County Niedang Village Prison, located in Tibet. Ms. Luo Na and Ms. Zhao Hong have been imprisoned in the Lhasa North Urban Autonomous Region Prison (also called No. 1 Prison for that region).
Mr. Zhao has been forced to perform slave labor and has suffered inhuman torture, both physically and mentally. His teeth are now very loose, and he has much difficulty eating. Ms. Luo Na has protested against the persecution many times by going on hunger strikes. However, she has been force-fed each time. The force feedings have taken their toll on her.

Mr. Zhao Longzhi and Ms. Luo Na's son has not been allowed to see his parents since their 2006 arrest. The boy is now 9 years old. Early on, he often asked his grandparents why his mother and father had never returned home. His grandparents felt very sad whenever the boy asked, and at that time, they kept the imprisonment secret from their grandson to lessen the trauma on him.
Previous persecution: Mr. Zhao Longzhi and Ms. Luo Na were employed in the Tibet Electrical Factory. In June 2000, they went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, but were severely beaten on Tiananmen Square. The couple was soon sentenced to two years of hard labor and detained in the Lhasa Forced Labor Camp. When finally released from the camp, staff from Lhasa Electrical Factory drove the couple home and closely monitored them.
