(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in China distribute DVDs of Shen Yun Performing Arts as part of their efforts to spread traditional Chinese culture and the beauty of Falun Gong. The following are some of their experiences.
“Please Forward My Greetings to Master Li”
I often distribute DVDs of Shen Yun Performing Arts shows to the public. One day I approached a middle-aged man and said, “Happy New Year, Sir! Do you have a DVD player or a computer? If so, I would like to share a DVD of a dance and music show from overseas by Shen Yun Performing Arts. They frequently tour the world to about 100 cities every year.
“Their show presents authentic traditional Chinese culture with beautiful dances, gorgeous costumes, and a spectacular 3D animated backdrop. Renowned singer Guan Gunmin is one of the featured performers. I'm sure you will enjoy it. You can pass it on to your family and friends, too.”
He took the DVD and said, “Oh! Shen Yun! I saw last year's show. It's wonderful! It's great to have another DVD with their all-new programs!” He added, “Please forward my greetings to Master Li (the founder of Falun Gong)! I hope he will be able to come back to China soon!”
“Tour Guide Told Us to Say, 'Falun Dafa Is Great!' ”
This happened in Liaoning Province. I gave my seat to an elderly man on the bus. He told me his legs hurt much worse since his wife's recent passing. I expressed my sympathy and also my understanding that grief could increase one's physical pain. I told him to repeat “Falun Dafa is great! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great!” in his mind, and I offered him a DVD of a Shen Yun Performing Arts show.
He seemed pleased to accept it and told me his daughter had told him that many people practice Falun Gong in Hong Kong. I said, “Yes, the practice has been embraced in more than 100 countries around the world. Hundreds of thousands of Taiwanese practice Falun Gong. Mainland China is the only place where people don't have this freedom. The CCP has lost people's hearts and will have to face its end soon.”
The man agreed, telling me he had visited Taiwan and found the Taiwanese to be very kind and warmhearted. He related how they would take the time to give a person very detailed directions, and he supposed that different social systems could make the difference in people's demeanor.
I told him, “Yes, the people in Taiwan have the freedom to practice Falun Gong. Every year, Falun Gong practitioners there form huge Chinese characters in Liberty Square. It is magnificent.”
The man said he had heard about it. He got closer and whispered, “We were on a tour bus in Taiwan once, and the mountain road was winding and dangerous. Our tour guide told us to repeat after him, 'Falun Dafa is great! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great!' ”
