By a practitioner from the United States
I live in a small city in the southeastern part of the United States. There are very few Chinese people here. I met a Chinese man recently, in his 40s or 50s, in a supermarket. We greeted one another and I asked him when he had come to the United States. He said he had been here for about 12 years and was already a U.S. citizen.
I wanted to help him withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. I asked him,“Do you know that withdrawing from the CCP will guarantee your safety?” He said, “I have already withdrawn.” I asked him, “Where?”
He told me, “I went to China not long ago to visit relatives and stayed in a hotel in Beijing. I received a phone call telling me that withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations would protect my safety, and I was asked if I would like to withdraw. I said I had worn the red scarf of the Young Pioneers, a youth organization of the CCP. She said that she could help me withdraw and I agreed to do so.” He gestured that he had a phone call coming in. He seemed very happy. I said, “You are a very lucky person and will have good fortune!” He smiled and nodded.
He turned around and pointed to a poster of Shen Yun Performing Arts on the window of the supermarket and said, “I have seen this!” I asked, “In the U.S.?” He said, “No, when I was visiting my hometown in China, a neighbor gave us a DVD of the Shen Yun Performing Arts. My whole family watched it.” I presumed that he was from a big city. I asked, “Where is your home?” He said he was from a remote village in Hebei Province.
I was so moved. Practitioners in China have really done well. They have spread the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution everywhere. They have even saved Chinese-American citizens!
By a practitioner from China
Today I went to a large market and met a gentlemen in his 70s that I had met before. He never wanted to listen to what I had to say about Falun Gong and the persecution and said that I was meddling in politics directed against the CCP. Today when I spoke to him I was surprised to hear him say, “I went to Hong Kong a few days ago. It is normal to practice Falun Gong there.” He sighed, “China is not a normal country!”
He continued, “There are a lot of people that practice Falun Gong abroad. There are banners and materials about it everywhere, and the governments don't mind. There is a lot of freedom.” I replied, “That's true. Falun Gong is practiced in over 100 countries. It is only in China where Falun Gong is persecuted.”
I asked him, “Have you withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations in Hong Kong?” He said, “No, I was too afraid.” I gave him a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party. I wanted him to learn more about the CCP. He said, “I was given a copy in Hong Kong. I read the whole book in my hotel room. I thought that it was written very well, but I didn't dare to bring it back with me. Our tourist guide from China warned us not to bring any of these materials home. He said there would be consequences if we did, so I didn't dare to.”
I said, “What the Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong told you is true. They advised you to withdraw from the CCP so that you can separate yourself from it, and avoid misfortune when the CCP falls. They wanted to save you. You can use a childhood nickname or an alias to withdraw, and then your safety will be guaranteed.” He said, “I don't have any other names.” I said, “I will give you the name of “Mr. Ping'an.” He repeated, “Mr. Ping'an. I like that name.” He felt very comfortable withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
When people from China who don't have access to information go abroad, they see how freely Falun Gong has spread. This is in sharp contrast to their experience in China and gives them cause to reflect and ponder. Even if they don't immediately withdraw from the CCP, our efforts will support the practitioners in China by helping people learn more about Falun Gong and the persecution.
Thank you fellow practitioners who live abroad for your great efforts to save the Chinese people.
Let us practitioners, inside and outside of China, work together to save more Chinese people.
