Mr. Zhang Dewen was arrested by officers from the Macheng City 610 Office, the police station, and the Baiguo Town Residential Committee on the afternoon of August 26, 2014. His home was ransacked, and his personal items including a computer, a printer, and Falun Gong books were confiscated. He was taken to the Baiguo Town Police Station.

Mr. Tang Shixing was arrested and detained on the same day when he went to visit Mr. Zhang at the police station.
