(Minghui.org) After graduation I was assigned my current job in a medical housing facility. Six of the families at that time had patients with epilepsy, which was considered high. These patients all succumbed to the illness and died one at a time, except for one. That single patient was a girl named Wanmei, and she is still alive today.
Wanmei is in her 40s. Epilepsy affected the development of her brain, resulting in her being mentally challenged. She never attended school or married. She lives with her parents, who are both in their 70s, and she is like a child and often plays in the courtyard.
I met with her two years ago. She told me that her illness attacks her every few days. I suddenly had a thought: “I should tell her the facts of Falun Dafa.” I was not sure she would understand, but nonetheless, I gave it a try.
“Have you heard of Falun Dafa?” I asked her. “It is a wonderful practice that has miraculous health benefits. However, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) doesn't allow the practice and defames it. What's been said on TV and in the newspapers are all lies. Don't believe them.”
While I was talking to her, she looked at me much like a child would, innocent and kind; she even seemed to have a sparkle in her eyes. She nodded her head as I talked and often responded with a “yes.” I had no idea how much she understood.
I told her: “Falun Dafa is the Buddha Law. You'll be blessed if you repeat, 'Falun Dafa is great!' Since you are home, you can say it often. You can also say it when you don't feel well.” She seemed to understand.
I had her repeat “Falun Dafa is great” several times. She held my hand like a child while we were walking. Several times, she said, “I like you so much!”
After that day, I never saw her again. Recently, I ran into her father and asked him how she was doing. He told me that she had recovered; that she had become more sensible and mature, and no longer plays like a child. I asked him when it was that she recovered. He said it was two years ago.
After hearing that, I realized that she recovered because she understood the facts of Falun Dafa. I told her father what had happened then. He came to understand that it was Falun Dafa that helped his daughter.
