(Minghui.org) Andrei offered Falun Gong flyers to everyone passing by at the Stenphansplatz (Stenphans Plaza) in Vienna. With a big smile, he spoke to the tourists in Italian, German, and English. When he saw Asian faces, he said in Mandarin, “Do you speak Chinese? Falun Dafa is great, and truthfulness-compassion-forbearance is great.”
Andrei was one of the European Falun Gong practitioners who came to Vienna for an international rally on September 19.
“I especially want to tell Chinese people about Falun Gong and the persecution,” Andrei said, “I've noticed that many Chinese tourists were surprised to see Falun Gong practitioners overseas. Maybe they were told in China that Falun Gong no longer exists. Everything they heard about Falun Gong from their government is propaganda. So, I want to tell them that many people, including many Westerners, are practicing Falun Gong, and the whole world knows that Falun Dafa is good.”
Andrei hands out flyers at a Falun Gong rally in Vienna on September 19.
Andrei is from Rome. He started to practice Falun Gong in 2001. “I've personally experienced how good Falun Dafa is, having practiced for the past 14 years,” he said, “but what makes me sad is that many Chinese people are deceived by their government.”
To be able to talk to Chinese people about Falun Gong, Andrei began studying Chinese at a local college. “I love traditional Chinese culture, and I know well about the current situation in China, which, nonetheless, is beclouded to many Chinese people, for they do not have access to the truth. I want to tell them what I see outside China.”
“I often tell Chinese people that I love China, and I think that Chinese people are great. But the communist party is horrible, because this regime persecutes its people.”
“I believe that they will think about it—so many Westerners are practicing Falun Gong, and there must be reason. Maybe they will want to know more about Falun Gong.”
Andrei wants to learn more Chinese, so that he will be able to tell Chinese people about the state-sanctioned organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China, as well as the recent movement in which persecution victims have been filing lawsuits against the former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin.
“I fully support the lawsuits. I even wrote letters to the Chinese supreme court and procuratorate. The lawsuits are important, because it was Jiang Zemin who launched and directed the persecution of Falun Gong. I hope more people will join us and support the lawsuits. It is time to bring him to justice.”
“At our local Falun Gong events back in Italy, we set up a big banner in Chinese to tell the Chinese tourists that more than 180 thousand criminal complaints have been filed against Jiang since the last May. Many Chinese were shocked.”
“I hope that more and more Chinese will recognize the evil nature of the party, and take a stance against it. I hope that they can make the right choice for their own future.”
At the Stephansplatz, a local Catholic woman told Andrei that she was not interested in other religions. Andrei patiently explained that Falun Gong practitioners are not trying to change other people's beliefs.
“All we try to do is to tell people what Falun Gong is, and how brutal the persecution in China is. Everybody should treat this persecution with conscience. Many people don't know about Falun Gong and the persecution. My wish is to tell more people what Falun Gong really is.”
