(Minghui.org) A fellow practitioner and I have been talking to people face to face about Falun Gong over the past few months. We explained to everyone we met why the Chinese Communist Party is wrong in persecuting Falun Gong and urged them to sever their ties with the Party.
We see that people from all walks of life are awakening to the lies the communist regime fabricated against Falun Gong. Many people agreed to quit the CCP and even asked for more Falun Gong materials to read and share with families. Below are a few such examples.
Village Party Officer: Collapse of the Party Is a Matter of Time
We met an old couple in the park. They were about the same age as the practitioner with me, so we could chat with them like old acquaintances. We talked about many issues, including the phenomenon of low morality and lack of spiritual belief of people in China.
I told the couple that people in more than 100 countries other than China are able to practice Falun Gong publicly. Falun Gong is admired around the world for teaching people to be good and for improving their physical and mental health. The wife pointed at her husband and said: “He was a Party official. He was ordered to transform Falun Gong practitioners.”
“I knew nothing about Falun Gong before I visited a practitioner,” the husband said. “He had been seriously ill and could not work. His health however, returned after he practiced Falun Gong and his family became more harmonious. He was highly praised as a good person. Why would I want to 'transform' him?
“The CCP is really evil. It tells people to lie and distorts things to survive. Under this regime, people's morality has gone bad.”
When I told them about a certain stone in Guizhou bearing the hidden words: “The Chinese Communist Party Will be Eliminated,” he said, “The heavens have already decided. It is just a matter of time before the CCP will end.”
At the end of our conversation, the man happily renounced the CCP. His wife quit the Young Pioneers.
Professor: Falun Gong Causes No Harm to Society
We came across a professor from an army college one day. When asked if he knew a practitioner at his college who has been persecuted for years, the professor told us about his investigation.
“I know this person. He is a good person. I realized that many practitioners started the practice because of illness. They continued in good health after practicing. Falun Gong indeed causes no harm to society.
“Their illnesses returned when they were forced to stop practicing Falun Gong after 1999. Jiang Zemin is immoral. He stupidly antagonized all citizens. He is a criminal.”
We told him about the wave of renouncing the CCP and its affiliates. He happily agreed to renounce the CCP. To protect himself from repercussions, he, as do many others, asked us to use a pseudonym when publishing his renunciation on the Epoch Times website.
Civil Servant: The Party is Fascist
We met a woman in the park another day. We chatted about how difficult life is under the CCP. She complained that as a civil servant, she could not even afford a house in an outlying area where housing is cheaper.
“Under Jiang's corrupt rule,” I said, “our country has been destroyed and social order has collapsed. The CCP has not only persecuted Falun Gong for years but also inhumanely harvested practitioners' organs while they were still alive.”
The woman was shocked to learn about organ harvesting. She commented that the CCP is nothing but a form of fascism.
The practitioner with me said, “That live organ harvesting happens is true. We have been deceived. I learned the truth when I was abroad. Banners condemning the CCP can be seen everywhere in other countries. Many people inside and outside of China are now filing criminal lawsuits against Jiang.”
Shocked at the news, the woman seemed worried and asked what to do. We encouraged her to quit the CCP. She agreed and renounced the CCP with an alias.
Retired Military Officer: I Am Sick of the Party's Corruption
One day, we came across an affable gentleman who had the same accent as ours. He introduced himself as a retired military officer.
He became very angry when I mentioned that our country has been ruined by Jiang's corrupt regime. “Corruption is very common in the military—soldiers have to pay to be promoted. I have never swindled or bribed anyone while I served,” he said. “Jiang Zemin did nothing good during his tenure.”
When I advised him to renounce the CCP, however, he refused. He could only say, “I receive more than 10,000 yuan every month now. I would not have what I have today if it were not for the Party.”
“Communism is not as good as you think,” I said. “Almost 80 million Chinese have died in various political movements. Heavenly principles suggest that the CCP must pay for the crimes it has committed. No one believes in communism now. Many people in China and abroad have quit the CCP.”
“You are a good person,” I said to him. “I do not want to see you smeared by the same brush as the CCP. I can help you quit the CCP with an alias and no one will know about it.”
This military officer was finally convinced and he agreed. He thanked me for helping him quit the CCP before he walked away.
Sanitation Worker: Do You Have More Falun Gong Materials?
A few days ago, we talked to a middle-aged sanitation worker who was working on the street about Falun Gong. We helped him quit the Young Pioneers and then advised him to remember “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
While we were walking away, he quickly asked if we had more informational materials. He said that he would like to read them. We gave him a small Dafa calendar and he happily put it into his bag.
