(Minghui.org) Over 400 people in Fengcheng, Liaoning Province, have signed a petition to report the crimes of Jiang Zemin since mid-October 2015. Jiang was the former head of the Chinese Communist Party who abused his power to orchestrate the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in 1999.
Over 200,000 Falun Gong practitioners and their family members have filed criminal complaints against Jiang since May 2015. More than one million people in other Asian countries have signed “criminal report” petitions to support these lawsuits.
When the persecution first began in China, most people there would avoid Falun Gong due to the vicious propaganda by Jiang's regime. However, a growing number of Chinese now support Falun Gong because, over the past 16 years, practitioners have persevered in explaining the real situation behind the persecution. Many people in the city of Fengcheng have been more than willing to sign a petition to report Jiang's crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Wang who works in the fishing industry said, “I read the Dafa book Zhuan Falun, which teaches people to be good. There is nothing bad in it. Jiang Zemin has unjustly defamed Falun Gong.” After reading the petition that listed Jiang's crimes, she said with conviction, “I want to sign it,” and signed her real name.
Ms. Liu, a saleswoman, listened to a Falun Gong practitioner explain the lawsuit against Jiang and tell her about Falun Gong. She ignored her customers while she was listening. She quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Youth League and Young Pioneers and then signed the criminal report petition.
Mr. Han, who works in auto parts, signed the petition. He sometimes helps practitioners when he goes home to visit his parents in Fencheng. He said he believes he has been blessed for supporting Falun Dafa. His business recently became much more profitable, and he was able to buy a house.
Ms. Zhou said her illness symptoms went away after she showed support for Falun Dafa. She was so excited that she said she would publicly celebrate World Falun Dafa Day when it arrives on May 13. Hearing about the lawsuit against Jiang, she said, “I will sign my real name. I am not afraid even if the CCP officials do come to harass me!”
Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners during the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
