(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guan Longmei from Shanghai was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison on January 14, 2015. Her “crime” was offering a DVD of Shen Yun, a Chinese classical dance and music performance, to a passerby in June 2014.
Her family and lawyer were not allowed into the court.

She has appealed to the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate Court.
Ms. Guan had previously been incarcerated for a total of 8.5 years because of her belief in Falun Gong.
She was taken to a labor camp for two years in 2001 and sentenced to 6.5 years in prison in January 2007.
Ms. Guan was most recently arrested on June 9, 2014 and held at the Pudong Detention Center. Police also ransacked her home and seized many copies of Falun Gong books and over 100 Shen Yun DVDs.
