(Minghui.org) The families of three Falun Gong practitioners, who are presently imprisoned in Liaoning Women's Prison, jointly filed a criminal complaint against the former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin for ordering the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999.
The complaint alleges that Jiang, the former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader, caused tremendous suffering to their families, deprived the Chinese people of spiritual freedom, murder, interrogation under torture and using the entire CCP regime's apparatus to undermine existing Chinese laws and the Chinese Constitution.
The families mailed the complaint to the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
The three practitioners are Ms. Guo Yunlan, Ms. Teng Xiuling and Ms. Liu Pintong from Donggang, Dandong City, Liaoning Province. They were tortured, are in critical condition and the prison officials have repeatedly denied medical parole.
Ms. Guo Yunlan's Lawyer and Family Visits Denied

One side of her body is paralyzed, and she has experienced memory loss. Her family asked for a lawyer and family visits, as well as medical parole, which was denied.
Since the onset of the persecution, Ms. Guo has been detained twice in a detention center, sentenced to forced labor for one year and two years in a prison, for a total of six years of imprisonment. Ms. Liu's family asked for medical parole. Guards extorted 4,000 yuan as a condition of her release, did not release her and tried to extort another 3,000 yuan. When the family balked, the guards refused family visits for more than two months and tortured her. Ms. Liu is in critical condition.

Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
