(Minghui.org) After reading “Additional Notice on Putting Up Door Hangers (with Comment from Master),” I thought that this must be the behavior of practitioners who have emigrated from China. My reason for singling them out is because they have been indoctrinated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and they therefore tend to go to extremes with whatever they are trying to accomplish.
Only by going to extremes can they feel the thrill of a victory after completing the task. To them, it is as if winning a battle. The Communist Party promotes the philosophy of struggle. People fight for everything, everywhere, and whatever they do, they behave as if they are on a combat mission.
This is what it is like in all of China. That means that some practitioners subconsciously hold onto such extreme thinking. (Editor's note: Some practitioners who emigrated from China more than 10 or 20 years ago and who have lived elsewhere for a long time still, to a large degree, retain the mindsets and behaviors inculcated into them by the Party.)
Effect on Falun Gong Truth Clarification Efforts
What brought that improper behavior home to me was an experience at a barbershop. I had a pleasant conversation with another man in the shop. After we got our haircuts, I tried to persuade him to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
“Oh, so you practice Falun Gong,” he said. “I agree with the Falun Gong principles, but I am absolutely opposed to the way you distribute Falun Gong informational materials. You distribute everywhere, regardless of the location. It's outrageous. How can you do that?”
I tried to explain to him that we offer people salvation, that otherwise people would not learn the truth. But he said repeatedly that he could not accept that. Then he quickly turned and left. He even looked back as he walked away, as if he was afraid that I would catch up with him.
That kind of extreme behavior he described manifests because we were indoctrinated by the Party, and it is interfering with the three things we do.
I also have strong and extreme thoughts. Master told us to look within in cultivation. Form now on I will look inward to thoroughly eliminate the extreme ideology caused by the Party's indoctrination.
Master said, “...what you do then, with a pure heart, will be the best and most sacred.” (“Further Understanding” in Essentials For Further Advancement)
