(Minghui.org) There is only a small number of education administrators at each grade level in my college. We have three student console leaders and one education director. All of them have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
Since May 2015, many citizens in China began filing legal complaints against Jiang Zemin, former head of the CCP, for launching the persecution of Falun Gong. I have been helping collect petitions to support those prosecuting Jiang.
When I asked one of the student console leaders if he would like to sign the petition, he responded, “Sure, put my name on the list. Use my real name or a nickname, either is fine with me.”
Another student console leader read the petition and signed using a nickname.
The education director was still in his office, so I asked him, “Do you know that many Chinese people have filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin? Would you like to support this activity by signing the petition?”
I wasn't sure if he heard me because he had his headphones on. However, he shouted back, “Yes, I fully support bringing Jiang Zemin to justice.”
Many citizens in Changsha City, Hunan Province, also expressed their support for the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin.
“I've seen your materials, and I know everything is true,” one young man said. “Jiang has done too many bad deeds. I will definitely sign the petition.”
An elderly man shared his understanding. “I was completely deceived by Jiang’s regime and thought Falun Gong was bad,” he said. “I later realized that Falun Gong practitioners are good people after I got to know you and discovered the real story. I want to sign the petition.”
“Jiang has committed terrible crimes,” a fruit vendor said. “He has persecuted Falun Gong, and promoted a large number of corrupt officials. He should have been taken to court a long time ago. I can’t wait for him to be brought to justice.”
Jiang Zemin, as head of the CCP, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong in July 1999.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 17 years. More have been tortured for their belief, and even killed for their organs. Jiang is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the CCP established an extralegal security organ, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. This organization overrides the police and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's policy regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law now allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising this right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
