(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 were illegally arrested.
Officers from the Dayi County 610 Office went to Mr. Xiong Wenjun's home on December 10, 2016. They ordered him not to distribute copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
They also went to Ms. Ju Xiuzhen's home on December 20, 2016. They ordered her not to distribute the Nine Commentaries or any informational materials about Falun Gong.
Ms. Zheng Qinglan was sentenced to a three-year prison term on December 30, 2016.
Mr. Li Yongquan was arrested at his dental clinic by twelve police officers on January 14, 2017. The police also arrested his patient, Ms. Niu Shuhua, who was having an appointment at the time. The police ransacked the clinic and confiscated three desktop computers, three laptops, cell phones, Falun Gong books, and other items. Ms. Niu was taken to the Dagang Police Station. Mr. Li was taken to the Nanlou Police Station. Both were released later that day.
On the same day, Ms. Zhang Jingping was arrested at her workplace by twelve officers from the Tianjin Police Department. She was searched and later released.
Ms. Wei Sufang was harassed at home by officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station on January 13, 2017. The police questioned if she practices Falun Gong and videotaped her.

Mr. Ding Xianyou, Mr. Wang Zhiwei, and Mr. Fang Wenlei were arrested on January 12, 2017.
Mr. Fang Guoxuan was arrested by officers from the Baiyue Police Station on January 13, 2017.
Ms. Xu Hailing and Mr. Yu Wenhua were arrested by officers from the Boyu Town Police Station on January 15, 2017 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were given a 15-day detention and held at the Wenquan Town Detention Center.
On January 13, 2017, Ms. Chen Guimei was arrested at her home, which was ransacked by officers from the Kaifaqu Police Department. She was terrified and became ill. She was taken to Kaifaqu Hospital for treatment.

Mr. Zhang Hengtai, 80, was harassed at home by three plainclothes officers on January 11, 2017. When the police attempted to take Mr. Zhang away, he had a heart attack and fainted. The police confiscated his Falun Gong books, a laptop, a printer, a DVD player, and other personal items.
Ms. Qu Meiju and her mother, Ms. Ren Xiufang, were arrested by officers from the Machang Town Police Station on November 15, 2016 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are held at the Zhoukou City Detention Center. Taikang County Domestic Security Division submitted their cases to the Procuratorate, and the two practitioners are facing trial.
Mr. Meng Xianguang is incarcerated at Benxi Prison and is being persecuted. His wife, Ms. Su Xiaohua, is incarcerated at Liaoning Women's Prison.
Mr. Han Baolai is incarcerated at the Dongling Prison in Shenyang City and is being severely persecuted.
Ms. Liu Xijie, 58 was tried by the Kaifaqu Court in April 2016. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term and was taken to Liaoning Women's Prison on November 15, 2016. She was arrested on September 3, 2015.
Ms. Zhao Lihui is detained at Gaowan Police Station.
Ms. Ran Maobing, 75, went to Chengxi Police Station on December 15, 2016 and has not returned home since then. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Lan Tailian, 69, and Ms. Tang Mingbi, 68, were arrested at their homes on January 12, 2017 and taken to a detention center. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated some personal items.
