(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Ye Placed in Administrative Detention

Ms. Wang Ye from Minhang District was arrested on September 22, 2017. She was placed in administrative detention for 15 days, and held in the Minhang District Detention Center.

2. [Gulin County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Mozhen Arrested

Ms. Zhou Mozhen was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on August 24, 2017. She was arrested by two officers from the Gulin Town Police Station. She was not allowed any water, food, sleep, or use of the toilet at the police station. When the officers went to sleep at 3:00 a.m., they handcuffed her. The officers forced her to sign paperwork before releasing her the following afternoon.

3. [Gulin County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Xuemei Placed in Administrative Detention

Ms. Luo Xuemei was arrested by Wei Xing and other officers from the Hujia Township Police Station on July 7, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was placed in administrative detention for 15 days, and held in the Luzhou City Detention Center.

4. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Yuguo and Wife Ms. Zou Lifang Detained

Three officers from the Chengjiao Police Station broke into Mr. Wu Yuguo's home in Nanzhangzhuang Village, Yishui Town, on September 5, 2017. They deceived Mr. Wu and his non-practitioner wife Ms. Zou Lifang to convince them to go to the police station. The couple was detained for ten days and forced to pay 500 yuan for living expenses.

5. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Longli Arrested

Ms. Wu Longli and another practitioner were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on September 12, 2017. Ms. Wu was arrested by officers from the Yinzi Town Police Station. The other practitioner escaped. The officers took Ms. Wu to a detention center. The detention center refused to accept her for health reasons. She was released that evening.

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Gao Hongyu and Ms. Zhou Bosong from Fushan District were arrested on September 23, 2017. They are being held in the Dongting Detention Center.

Ms. Liu Yufeng, Mr. Wang Shichen, and Mr. Wang Qiang, family of three, were arrested and their home was ransacked on September 25, 2017. Ms. Liu was detained. The two male practitioners were released on bail.

7. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liang Yuansheng and Mr. Zhu Shixiong Arrested

Mr. Liang Yuansheng and Mr. Zhu Shixiong were recently arrested and their home was ransacked.

8. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Kuang Zhihua (Liantang No. 1 Middle School teacher), Ms. Cheng (retired teacher), Ms. Fan Wuying, and Mr. Li were arrested on the afternoon of September 13, 2017. They are being held in the Liantang Detention Center.

9. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ding Jiantao Detained

Mr. Ding Jiantao from Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, was arrested by officers from the Liulihe Police Station on the morning of September 19, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Guanzhuang Village farmers market, Liulihe Town, Fangshan District, Beijing. He is being held in the Tiangezhuang Detention Center, Fangshan District.

10. [Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jin Suzhen Passed Away Due to Persecution

Ms. Jin Suzhen, 65, passed away on September 4, 2017. She had been subjected to forced labor, detainment, fines, and otherwise persecuted. She was often harassed and threatened by police and Domestic Security officers. Her seized electric tricycle, which she tried to reclaim numerous times, is still at the police station.

11. [Linying County, Henan Province] Mr. Zhang Zhongfu Detained

Mr. Zhang Zhongfu from Wangmeng Village, Wangmeng Town, was arrested and his home was ransacked by officers from the Wangmeng Town Police Station on September 12, 2017. He was detained for ten days, and returned home on September 22.

12. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Mr. Wu Zixiang Detained

Mr. Wu Zixiang was arrested at home by officers from the Zhoukou City Police Department and the Xiangcheng City Police Department on the afternoon of September 21, 2017. His home was ransacked. He is being held in the Xiangcheng Detention Center. His family learned four days later that he had been arrested.

13. [Zhengzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhou Xiyun Arrested

Ms. Zhou Xiyun was arrested on the afternoon of September 23, 2017.

14. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wu Jianhua Arrested

Elderly practitioner Ms. Wu Jianhua was arrested on the afternoon of September 22, 2017. The officers searched her body and found her keys. They went to her home and ransacked it. They confiscated several computers, printers, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, cash, and other items.

15. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zheng Yuliang and Ms. Gui Youyun Arrested

Mr. Zheng Yuliang, 76, and Ms. Gui Youyun, 80, were reported for distributing Falun Gong materials in the Baishazhou area on September 19, 2017. They were arrested by four Baishazhou police officers. The officers confiscated Falun Gong materials and amulets. The two practitioners were taken to the police station, and interrogated in different rooms, while restrained in iron chair torture devices. The officers videotaped and photographed them, measured their height and weight, and gathered their fingerprints and blood samples before releasing the two practitioners.

16. [Jiuquan City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Shufang Detained

Ms. Li Shufang was arrested at the Jiuquan Train Station on September 10, 2017. Her Falun Gong book was confiscated. She was detained for ten days.

17. [Kuandian County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Guorong's Home Ransacked

Ms. Lu Guorong's home was ransacked on September 25, 2017.

18. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Shuyuan Detained

Ms. Li Shuyuan from Toudao Town was arrested on September 14, 2017. She is being held in the Tieling City Detention Center.
