(Minghui.org) It has been more than 18 years since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the brutal persecution of Falun Gong. However, Falun Gong practitioners have not stopped believing in their faith, despite the risk of being persecuted. Because of the practitioners' peaceful demeanor and having learned the facts about this cultivation practice, more and more people are supporting and protecting Falun Gong practitioners.
When I was at a repair shop to get my motorbike fixed, I met a young man. I started to talk to him about Falun Gong and the persecution.
The garage owner's wife looked worried, and said: “You dare to talk about Falun Gong to anyone! Do you know that he is a police officer?”
I replied with a smile, “Police are in danger of being held responsible for the tasks assigned by the CCP officials, as they carry out the CCP's persecution against practitioners. Their futures are at stake.”
I continued, “Young fellow, please don't persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong is the Buddha Fa, and teaches people to be good. Its practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It is only persecuted in China.”
That young man responded, “Lots of people practice Falun Gong in our county. I know they are all good people.”
When I asked him if he had quit the CCP, he said, “Falun Gong is good and everyone knows that, but the CCP pays my salary.”
I wanted to make sure that he understood the true situation in China, and said, “Throughout the world, tax payers watch closely the actions committed by their government officials, only the CCP claims that they take care of their people. The CCP doesn't farm the land, how can they take care of you? The money they take is our money. It belongs to the people.”
I then asked him to quit the CCP, and he agreed.
Some practitioners were reported by people from some villages when they clarified the truth about Falun Gong to people. The local police called the security guard in our village about this.
The security guard denied that those practitioners were from our village, and the police stopped harassing them.
The guard told one of practitioners: “Tell your colleagues to be careful when going out. I have managed to stop the police coming to harass them this time.”
Before this year's 18th National Congress, officers from the local county domestic security division came to our village and wanted to talk to practitioners.
This security guard stopped them, and invited them for a meal. He paid for it out of his pocket to prevent them from harassing practitioners.
The security guard told me one day, “You know why I don't join the Communist Party. It's because I know that they are corrupt. The reason I took this security job is because I want our village to be safe. I make sure that no one arrests practitioners, because I know that you are all good people. I have been doing this job for over 10 years. I haven't arrested or blackmailed any practitioner.”
“You are doing a great job,” I said. “You will be rewarded for doing this, and I'm sure you will have a bright future.”
