(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 were illegally arrested.

Ms. He Cuiqin, in her 70s, has been monitored around the clock by the Sanitation Bureau since March 2018. All her Falun Dafa books have been confiscated.

Ms. He is an employee at the Sanitation Bureau, Xuwen County.

2. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Qu Chunxia Officially Arrested

Ms. Qu Chunxia from Yanshi City was arrested by patrol officers from the Yuetan Township Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of March 12, 2018. She was taken to the Luoyang Detention Center on March 26.

3. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Guo Guangzhi Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Guo Guangzhi, her daughter-in-law Ms. Liu Zhaoxia, and other practitioners were arrested in July 2016 for studying the Falun Gong teachings. Six of the arrested practitioners were released, while Ms. Guo and Ms. Liu were taken to a detention center.

Ms. Guo was sentenced to a seven-year prison term by the Maojian District Court in January 2018, and was taken to the Wuhan Province Women's Prison.

Ms. Liu was released, but has a serious illnesses as a result of persecution.

4. [Tahe County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Shuying Arrested

Ms. Gao Shuying was arrested at her home by officers from the Tahe County Domestic Security Division on the morning of April 20, 2018. She was facing a trial.

5. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Xiaohui's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Xiaohui was arrested by the Zhongning Railway police on April 21, 2018, for being in possession of the book Zhuan Falun when she took the train from Zhongning County to Yinchuan City.

Ms. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Yuexiao and Mr. Wang Pingsheng Arrested

Ms. Dong Yuexiao and Mr. Wang Pingsheng were arrested by the Huangdao police for distributing Falun Gong materials in the Huangdao area on the evening of April 20, 2018. Their homes were ransacked.

7. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Mei Shuqing Placed Under Criminal Detention

Ms. Mei Shuqing was taken to the Caidian Detention Center for criminal detention.

8. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xing Guohua and Ms. Zhang Fenglan Arrested

Ms. Xing Guohua and Ms. Zhang Fenglan were arrested on March 30, 2018, by Pang Xi and Liu Yanhui from the Zhangbei County Police Department, and officers from the Hailiutu Township Police Station.

Ms. Xing and Ms. Zhang were taken to a detention center, but the authorities there refused to accept them due to their poor health. Both practitioners were released.

9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Huang Yuqing Arrested

Ms. Huang Yuqing and her family went to Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province on April 13, 2018. She was taken to the Railway Police Station after being identified as a Falun Gong practitioner when her identification card was checked.

Ms. Huang was videotaped and was searched at the police station.

10. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shao Ziying and Her Husband Mr. Wang Xudong Arrested

Ms. Shao Ziying and her husband Mr. Wang Xudong from the Dongchangfu District were arrested at their home on the morning of March 28, 2018. They were taken to the Liaocheng City Detention Center.

Ms. Shao was released on April 11 due to her poor health. Mr. Wang remains in detention.

11. [Shanghai] Ms. Mo Shiwan and Ms. Xu Lei Detained

Ms. Mo Shiwan from the Fengxian District was arrested by the Fengxian police on the evening of April 18, 2018. Ms. Xu Lei from the Pudong New Area was arrested by the Fengxian police on the morning of April 19, 2018.

Both practitioners were taken to the Fengxian Detention Center. Ms. Xu has been placed under criminal detention.

12. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ling Xiu Arrested

Ms. Ling Xiu, from Poxin Town in the Dianbai District, was arrested by officers from the Poxin Police Station and Maoming City Police Department on April 16, 2018.

Ms. Ling was taken to the Maoming No. 1 Detention Center, but was released later that day.

13. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Zhenqin and Ms. Lou Shuxian Arrested

Ms. Xu Zhenqin and Ms. Lou Shuxian, from Dongdaiguzhuang Village, Tushan Town, Laizhou City, were arrested by officers from the Shahe Town Police, and taken to the Shahe Police Department.

Ms. Xu and Ms. Lou were later transferred to the Laizhou City Detention Center. Ms. Lou was released that evening due to her poor health.

14. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yanming Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Yanming, from Liulongtai Town, Yi County, was arrested on August 31, 2017, by officers from the Beipiao City Domestic Security Division and the Batuying Township Police Station.

Ms. Liu's lawyer informed her family in mid-April that she had been sentenced to four years in prison, and was taken to the Xidayingzi Detention Center in Chaoyang City.

15. [Tailai County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Fubin in Critical Condition

Mr. Liu Fubin from Dorbod Mongol Autonomous County has been held in the Tailai Prison for nearly ten years, where he has been mistreated.

He was taken to a small cell on June 2, 2017, when the weather was very hot. Mr. Liu was not able to eat anything, and was repeatedly force fed. He was stretched out by his four limbs on a bed at night and handcuffed to a table during the day for one month.

Mr. Liu has been unable to eat for 33 days, and he would throw up even when drinking water. His family has talked with the prison officials on many occasions, requesting his release on medical parole. The prison authorities have repeatedly refused the request.

On August 31, 2017, Mr. Liu could not take care of himself and his life was in critical condition. He was taken to the Tailai County Chinese Medicine Hospital.

Mr. Liu is now being held in the Heilongjiang Province Prison Administration Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
