(Minghui.org) I am a survivor of a disease called Leiomyosarcoma, a disease where a tumor can grow anywhere on the muscles in the body. Surgery can temporarily remove the tumors, but the tumors could still grow somewhere else again.
I began to combat the disease in 1994 by having a tumor inside my uterus removed. However, another tumor appeared in my uterus a year later. Out of desperation, I had my uterus removed in 1996 and hoped to resolve the problem once and for all. However, a few years later I experienced heart pain and difficulty breathing. I was shocked to learn that a tumor was growing in my heart. There were only six cases like this in China at that time.
My husband took me to a provincial hospital. It took cardiologists, gynecologists, and hematologists working together to do the heart surgery.
My husband and I have three children. My disease had created a huge financial burden on my family. After many years of treatment, my family had exhausted all of our savings and had a large debt.
Unfortunately, the good times only lasted a few years and a tumor appeared in my stomach in 2002. I went to the provincial hospital again to have the tumor removed. However, my sister persuaded me to learn Falun Dafa from my cousin.
Dafa Is Extraordinary
I calmed down, thought about it further, and realized that my sister was right. I suffered from a rare case of Leiomyosarcoma and had been treated by many specialists in large hospitals without success. What other options did I have? Regardless of whether I would live or die, I decided to practice Falun Dafa.
I visited my cousin to learn Falun Dafa. She taught me the exercise movements and told me to read the book Zhuan Falun, a book that guides me in my cultivation. "You must cherish this book,” she said. When reading the book, I was very impressed because Teacher taught us to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be good people.
I stepped on my cultivation path, and I have never looked back. After practicing Falun Dafa for a short time, I fully recovered. I finally experienced the peace and ease of being a healthy person.
My family was extremely grateful that Dafa had saved my life, and thus Dafa saved my whole family. My husband spread the news to everyone he knew. The story of my recovery spread quickly in my village and many people wanted to know more about Falun Dafa.
Spreading the Goodness of Dafa to Others
Dafa saved my life. I must prove to the world that Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!
When I first started practicing, I didn't know what a printer was, so I used a pen to write on paper, "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" and posted these messages everywhere. I went out in the middle of the night to post signs. Sometimes my husband went with me.
I later learned that I could use a printer to print posters. Although I was computer illiterate, I made up my mind to learn so I could produce Dafa informational materials myself. I bought a computer and a printer and learned how to use them. With sufficient truth-clarification materials, it became more convenient to tell people the facts about Dafa.
Several practitioners and I visited many places to deliver the truth clarification materials and to talk to people about Dafa. My life was busy and happy.
I was illegally arrested twice for telling people about Falun Dafa. I never hesitated to tell the police in the police station and guards and inmates in the detention center, how Falun Dafa had saved my life. Some of them were very moved. A detention center director said, “Be careful when telling people the facts next time. Don’t let the police catch you.”
A practitioner and I were taken to a forced labor camp once. During the camp's physical examination, the examination instrument clearly showed a ring that had been left in my chest from a previous heart surgery. I told the doctor, “I had severe cardiac fibroids and went through several major operations. I recovered after practicing Falun Dafa.” As a result, I was rejected by the forced labor camp and sent home.
