(Minghui.org) Our ancestors believed that one’s soul doesn’t die; rather only our bodies die and we reincarnate. In his next lifetime a person is repaid with blessings if he did good deeds and suffers in his next life if he did evil.
When Falun Dafa was spreading in China, one of my teachers told me, “Many people are attending the lectures, you should go.”
I was fortunate to attend Master Li Hongzhi’s video lecture. I realized that if people knew that gods and buddhas existed they wouldn’t dare to do bad deeds, but the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) promotes atheism. I asked myself, “Are there gods and buddhas after all?”
Three days later I realized that I had forgotten to take my medicines! For years, if I forgot to take them I would have joint pain, headaches, and insomnia.
I went to the hospital to have a physical exam, and all 26 of my illnesses were gone, including my three liver tumors and my rheumatoid arthritis.
I then began cultivating, determined to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and be a good person.
At one point the vice principal announced the names of those who didn’t get year-end bonuses, and I was on the list. Mei (alias) discussed it with me and asked me to look inward for my shortcomings. It snowed that day. As I walked home with Mei I kept tripping and hurt my hip, but she was perfectly fine. I looked inward and realized that I was putting on airs and I didn’t respect the vice principal. After I identified my shortcomings I stopped tripping, but my hip still hurt.
The next day, I went to talk to him. I said, “I didn’t respect you.” We had a long and sincere conversation, and the conflict between us was resolved. My hip stopped hurting after that.
My mother-in-law was with diagnosed hepatitis in late 1998. The hospital treatment failed, and the doctor advised us to prepare for her funeral. In January 1999, I went to visit her and read Zhuan Falun to her. She couldn’t get out of bed. I kept on reading even when she fell asleep. After I read to her for an entire day, her nose bled that night. The next day, she asked that I help her sit up to listen. I continued reading to her all that day. Her nose bled again that night, and she even threw up blood.
Her son was frightened and gave her a hemostatic drug. The third day, she asked that I help her get out of bed, and she sat in a chair to listen to me reading. She didn’t have a nosebleed that night, and everything was normal. On the fourth day she was able to stand up and walk. The fifth day, she went to the kitchen and started cooking. My mother in-law started practicing Falun Dafa from then on, and she had no more illnesses.
Unfortunately, the CCP started to persecute Dafa that July. The neighborhood office forced her to reveal who taught her Falun Dafa. The huge mental pressure made her quit practicing. Soon afterward, her illnesses returned and she passed away.
My aunt was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1998. The doctor said she needed surgery, or the tumor would press on her optic nerve, and she would become blind. I suggested that she listen to Master’s lectures. The first day when she listened to the lectures, her blood pressure escalated and she couldn’t have the surgery. The doctor said he had to wait until my aunt’s blood pressure was normal.
A week later, her blood pressure was normal and my aunt was ready for surgery. However, when the doctor looked for the tumor, he found that the tumor was now much smaller and the surgery was no longer needed. My aunt told me that she didn’t take any medicine for her blood pressure either, because she didn’t feel she needed it. My aunt started practicing Dafa.
After the persecution started in 1999, my aunt moved to France. When she tried to visit China, the Chinese customs wouldn’t let her in and repatriated her because she practiced Falun Dafa. My aunt was traumatized and she stopped practicing. Her illness recurred soon after and she passed away.
We are so fortunate to live in the time when Dafa is spreading! Please cherish the Buddha Fa, which is cherishing our own lives and future.
