(Minghui.org) Ms. Tang Qingying of Huaihua City, Hunan Province, started to practice Falun Gong in October 1996. She credits the practice for curing her many chronic ailments, such as hepatitis B, gastritis, and cerebrovascular sclerosis. With restored health, she felt like a new person.
After the Chinese communist regime ordered the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, Ms. Tang was repeatedly targeted for her faith. She was given three prison terms for a total of 14 and a half years. She has also had her pension suspended since the onset of the persecution.
Below is her own account.

When I was sentenced to three years in 1999, my employer had already deposited my pension for that month onto my salary card. However, Fu Hua, then director of my division, got hold of the card, so I couldn’t access my pension. The financial pressure was very stressful for my husband and it took a toll on his health. He fell ill and was hospitalized three times when Fu Hua refused to return my pension. Implicated in the persecution, my son was not promoted at work because of me.
In 2011, after I was released from serving the second prison term, my husband and I repeatedly asked Fu Hua to return my pension. He verbally abused me and blamed me for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. He not only refused to return my salary card, he even used over 90,000 yuan of my pension to pay his personal expenses.
In addition to misappropriating my pension, Fu Hua also seized the apartment that my workplace had allotted to me. While I was serving time in 1999, he drove out my daughter, who was living in my apartment, and rented it out, furniture and all. Fu also sold my 2,800-yuan phone to someone for 2,000 yuan.
After Fu Hua retired, I went to the new director, Yi Yusheng, several times to seek justice. But he demanded to see a statement that I’d renounce Falun Gong before he would consider seeing to the return of my pension. When I talked to him again a few days ago, he repeated the same demand—that I write a renouncing statement. He also told me not to tell him about Falun Gong anymore and threatened to report me to the police.
