(Minghui.org) A woman in Qingyang City, Gansu Province, has been detained for more than six months for her faith in Falun Gong.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Zhang Gaiqin was arrested on August 20, 2019, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She has been held in Qingcheng County Detention Center since.
Ms. Zhang, in her 40s, is known to her friends as very kind and honest, always ready to help others.
Because her husband works out of town, Ms. Zhang took care of her parents-in-law and two daughters, as well as over two acres of farmland, on her own. During holidays, she cooked for her extended family of more than 30 people and never complained.
Her parents-in-law can't believe their daughter-in-law is being detained for living by Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person. They are calling for her release.
