(Minghui.org) Most practitioners in my area are very diligent, cultivate solidly, and do the three things every day. The sudden spread of the coronavirus underscored the urgency of saving people.
Mrs. Li's son lives in my residential area and she came to spend the Chinese New Year holidays with him. Mrs. He (also a practitioner) lives in the same building. Both practitioners decided to print information on how to protect oneself during the outbreak. Mrs. He contacted local practitioners and asked them to help by posting the information on apartment doors and community notice boards.
Some practitioners were afraid of being arrested since the surveillance cameras in our area were replaced with high resolution ones. After exchanging understandings based on the teachings, practitioners realized that we are doing the most righteous thing in the universe: saving people. Master said,
“If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist.” (“Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s),” Essentials for Further Advancement II)
We all knew that it was time for us to let go of our fear and place our trust in Master. While practitioners posted the information, they forgot about the surveillance cameras and their fear disappeared.
One night, Mrs. He and Mrs. Li were posting the information at 9 p.m. A man driving by saw them walking around and flashed his car lights at them. They weren't afraid and continued what they were doing. The man was curious, got out of his car and asked, “What are you doing?” When they replied they were saving people, he got back in his car and left.
As the virus became an epidemic, our area was locked down, but that didn't stop us from saving people. One day when I went to Mrs. He's home, I saw a practitioner who lives in another district climb over the wall to get materials from her. That practitioner is nearly 70 years old. I was very touched by her perseverance. When she clarifies the truth to people, she doesn't go home until she's spoken to at least 10 people. Within a few days we managed to post information in all the public areas in our district.
We produced a variety of materials and delivered them to every household. At one point, I was worried that the information we gave out would be wasted. Then I recalled Master's words,
“I said that even if I could successfully save just one person, my things wouldn't be done in vain.” (“Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. III)
One time, Mrs. He placed materials in several buildings. The next day she was devastated to see that they had all been removed. She suddenly recalled Master's words,
“Haven’t we addressed that matter does not become extinct? Within a specific dimension, what a person has done or what a person does with a wave of his hand is all material existence, and anything he does will leave an image and a message. In another dimension it does not become extinct and will stay there forever.” (Lecture Two, Zhuan Falun)
She calmed down and reminded herself that she's doing the best thing, which is saving sentient beings.
After the lock down was relaxed, people gradually came outside. Mrs. He and I switched to telling people about Falun Dafa face to face. Most people are receptive and some agree to quit the CCP (Chinese Communist Party). Those who weren't ready to renounce their Party membership politely thanked us for the information. This experience helped eliminate our reluctance to clarify the truth to people in our area.
Mrs. He and I live in the same area. When she came to visit me one morning, my husband and children refused to let her in. I told them that practitioners couldn't carry the virus and it was all right for her to come in. They all know that after I started practicing Falun Dafa 15 years ago, I've been healthy. They believed what I said and let Mrs. He into the house.
One day I told my husband, “Don't worry. As a Falun Dafa practitioner it's my responsibility to tell people about Dafa and help them stay safe during this epidemic. Practicing Dafa gives me high energy, so the virus has no effect on me and you don't have to be afraid that I'll get infected or transmit the virus.” From then on, my family never stopped me from going out.
Mrs. Li's family also tried to make her stay home. Her husband became angry and scolded her for ignoring the surveillance cameras and not paying attention to safety. He even smashed her cell phone. Mrs. Li stayed home for three days and produced materials. She felt that local practitioners needed help and she wanted to go out. She told her husband, “People are in danger, how can we not save them? We're doing a noble thing. Please don't stop me.” Her husband gave in.
I would like to talk about an extraordinary thing that happened when Mrs. Li went to buy supplies to produce more materials. Because of the epidemic, many business owners took turns watching each other's shops. When Mrs Li went to buy supplies, the doorkeeper was the same person who had sold her the printer. She was thus able to replenish the supplies she needed to produce materials.
She said gratefully, “Master has arranged everything.”
