(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 14 provinces, where at least 61 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wang Aisheng and His Wife Ms. Song Guohua Harassed
Mr. Wang Aisheng and his wife Ms. Song Guohua from Hongshan District were harassed at home around December 25, 2020. Led by Ma Hongsheng, head of the Hongshan District 610 Office, Zhang Dai and others broke the door of the couple’s home to try to get in. The couple had to leave home. The parents, in their 80s, were left home alone.
2. [Cang County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Dong Shuxia was harassed at home around 9 p.m. on December 26, 2020. Police officers and officials from Wangjiapu Township came to Ms. Dong’s home and told her to write the Guarantee Statement, which she refused. She was ordered to go to the local police station the following morning. She did not cooperate but left home. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Hou Hongru lives in Tuta Village, Wulongtang Township. She was harassed at home on December 25, 2020 by township officials when she was reading Falun Dafa teachings at her home. These people photographed her and told her to sign the Guarantee Statement, which she refused.
Ms. Wang Xiuying’s son was harassed at his workplace on December 26, 2020, by officials from Dongguanzhuang Village, Wulongtang Township.
Ms. Xu Jinhui lives in Zhongjuanzi Village, Wulongtang Township. Her husband and her son were harassed by village officials recently in order to make her write the Guarantee Statement, which she refused.
3. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lin Lehong and Ms. Ma Xiaoping Arrested and Detained
Ms. Lin Lehong, 44, and Ms. Ma Xiaoping, around 30, live in Dafen Oil Painting Village, Longgang District. They were arrested around October 28, 2020 and are currently detained in the Longgang Detention Center.
4. [Xuancheng City, Anhui Province] Five Practitioners Harassed
In early December 2020, systematic harassment was conducted against Falun Gong practitioners in Jingyang Town, Jingde County, Xuancheng City. Three or four people in a group from the town police station, town government and the neighborhood committee repeatedly harassed the following practitioners: Mr. Qian Yunfeng, Ms. Feng Suyun, Ms. Song Fengyun, Ms. Zhu Xiuhua, and Ms. Bao Huilian. They threatened the practitioners and their family members with their employment, salary suspension, etc. in order to make the practitioners or their family members sign the Guarantee Statements.
5. [Cangxi County, Sichuan Province] Deng Shilin Harassed
Deng Shilin's (gender unknown) children received harassing phone calls on November 11, 2020, from officer Chen Jinzong of the Dongcheng Police Station. Deng Shilin was ordered to come to the police station. Deng went to the police station and eventually signed the Guarantee Statement under Chen Jinzong's pressure and threats.
6. [Chongqing] Liu Xianlan Harassed
Liu Xianlan (gender unknown) was harassed at home on December 14, 2020 by Ma Yan, head of the Huayuan Road Neighborhood Committee, Nan’an District. Liu Xianlan was threatened with his/her children’s future if he/she refused to sign the Three Statements.
7. [Jinxian County, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Luo Shuqi Harassed
Mr. Luo Shuqi and his parents, in their 70s, have been harassed multiple times by people from the Yunqiao Neighborhood Committee, led by Zhou Min, head of the committee. They threatened to come every day until he was “transformed.” They threatened him with his daughter’s schooling and job.
8. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Four Practitioners Tried in Court
Four practitioners from Qujing City including Ms. Zhao Yue, Ms. Liu Xia, and Ms. Jiang He were arrested and tried in the Nanming District Court, Guiyang City.
9. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Brainwashing Sessions Held in Detention Centers
It is reported that brainwashing sessions are being held in the Siping City Detention Center and the Lishu County Detention Center.
The following practitioners were detained in the Siping City Detention Center: Ms. Fu Guihua, 55; Ms. Yu Jianli, 30; Ms. Wang Fengzhi, 69; Ms. Cui Guixian, 56; Ms. Liu Dongying, around 55; Ms. Zhang Shaoping, 51; Mr. Li Jianhui, Ms. Zhang Yuling, and Ms. Hou Huixian, about 50.
The following were detained in the Lishu County Detention Center: Mr. Meng Xiangqi, 37; Mr. Meng Fanjun, 59; Mr. Wang Dongji, 40; Mr. Wang Kemin, 69; Mr. Han Jianping, 58; Mr. Jiang Tao, 46; Mr. Tan Qiucheng, 44; and Mr. Hou Hongqing, 49.
10. [Pingjiang County, Hunan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Three practitioners including Ms. Zhou Danfeng and Ms. Xu Panxiang were arrested on December 28, 2020 for clarifying the truth in Xianzhong Township. They were taken to the Jiayi Town Police Station first and later to the Pingjiang County Police Department. Ms. Xu and another elderly practitioner were released that evening. Ms. Zhou remains in custody.
11. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Harassed
From November to December 2020, officers from the Tianmu Town Police Station have harassed Falun Gong practitioners including Ms. Shu Yufen, Ms. Dong Guiyan, and Yang Zhiling (gender unknown). They pressured the practitioners to sign the Guarantee Statement which they refused.
12. [Shandong Province] Mr. Guan Zhongji Suffers Heart Failure in Prison
While Mr. Guan Zhongji has been detained in prison he has been subjected to brainwashing and forced labor. He started to have a symptom of heart problems in August 2020 and suddenly had difficulty breathing on October 26, 2020. He was recently sent to the hospital and diagnosed with heart failure.
13. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Deng Yuli Arrested
Ms. Deng Yuli was arrested on December 29, 2020 by local police officers and officers from the Domestic Security Division.
14. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Zhanrong's Case Filed in Court
Ms. Liu Zhanrong from Haidian District was arrested on March 18, 2018 and her home was ransacked by officers from the Shuguang Police Station. Her personal belongings including a computer, printer, a Dafa book, and truth-clarifying materials were taken away. She was taken to Qinghe Detention House and was released on bail the next day because of a health condition.
Ms. Liu’s case was filed in the Shanbei Court on May 17, 2019 by officer Qi Gangliang from the Shuguang Police Station.
Ms. Liu was called to the Shanbei Court on October 13, 2020 and was interrogated. She was requested to undergo a physical examination and take a nucleic acid test a month later.
15. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Luo Xinping's Case Filed in Court
The family of Ms. Luo Xingping received notice from the Fenghuang North Street Police Station, Xingqing District that Ms. Luo was under formal arrest on September 24, 2020. Ms. Luo’s case was filed in the Xixia District Procuratorate around November 26, 2020 by the Xingqing District Police Department. Her case was transferred to the Xixia District Court on December 23, 2020.
16. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Li Ronglan Harassed
Ms. Li Ronglan from Wengniuteqi has been arrested and made to do forced labor. She was divorced due to the persecution. In recent years, Ms. Li lived with her mother in a rented bungalow. Her mother was imprisoned because she practices Falun Gong and she is now bedridden.
Police from the Wengniuteqi Police Department came to Ms. Li’s rented place on December 25, 2020. Ms. Li was not at home. The police questioned her mother and her daughter-in-law, and asked where Ms. Li was.
The harassment forced Ms. Li and her mother to leave their current living place.
17. [Shanghai] Mr. Zhang Shuqiang and Mr. Tian Hui Sentenced
Mr. Zhang Shuqiang from Pudong District was tried in court at 2 p.m. on December 29, 2020 and sentenced to one year in prison.
Mr. Tian Hui from the Pudong New District was tried in court on December 28, 2020 and sentenced to three years in prison.
18. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Xifeng's and Ms. Hua Jing’s Cases Filed to Procuratorate
Ms. Li Xifeng, 63, and Ms. Hua Jing, over 60, were arrested in June 2020 by officers from the Forest Police Station in Zhengdong New District, when they clarified the truth outside. Ms. Hua Jing is a retired teacher from the Henan Information Engineering College. Both practitioners are detained in the No. 3 Detention Center of Zhengzhou City. They are under official arrest and their cases have been transferred to the Zhengdong New District Procuratorate.
19. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Dong Xiuhuan Harassed
Ms. Dong Xiuhuan was harassed at her workplace on November 21, 2020. Director Xu from the Xiangyang District Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Liu Zhen, director of Zhixing Community, and officers from the Chang’an Police Station came and told Ms. Dong to sign the Guarantee Statement, threatening that they would take her away. One of them videotaped the entire process. The commotion attracted a crowd of people and Ms. Dong managed to escape. Now Ms. Dong cannot go home or report to work.
Community director Liu Zhen and some police officers came to Ms. Dong’s home around 3 p.m. on December 7, 2020. They smashed the door loudly and left when no one opened it.
20. [Ningxiang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Xinqi Taken to Brainwashing Center
It was recently learned that Ms. Zhang Xinqi was arrested on October 27, 2020 by officers from the Meijiatian Police Station and the Ningxiang Domestic Security Division. She was taken to the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center in Changsha City and has not been released yet.
21. [Huining County, Gansu Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Three practitioners from Guochengyi Town including Ms. Li Jinping, Zhao Qingquan (gender unknown) and Ms. Deng Yuping were harassed by the police in the beginning of November 2020.
22. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Teng Wenzhi Arrested
Ms. Teng Wenzhi was arrested on the afternoon of December 26, 2020. She is still detained in the Shangjing Police Station in Longgang District.
23. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liang Xiutao Arrested
Ms. Liang Xiutao was arrested at home on December 7, 2020. Four officers including Guo Junfeng from the Xiwanzi Town Police Station and Zheng Jianguo, head of the Chongli District Domestic Security Division, took Ms. Liang to the Chongli District Police Department and detained her for one day and one night.
Ms. Liang was harassed at home around 10 a.m. on December 27, 2020. Officer Guo Junfeng and Wang Jianbin, the deputy director of the Xiwanzi Town Government, took Ms. Liang to the town government office. They deceived Ms. Liang into signing her name on two sheets of blank paper.
24. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhang Li Arrested
Ms. Zhang Li was arrested by two plainclothes police officers near the building where her mother lives on December 16, 2020. Her mother’s home was ransacked, as well as her own home. She was taken to the Dangtang Street Police Station for interrogation. She was released on bail that afternoon.
25. [Tianjin] Wang Xuhe Arrested
Wang Xuhe (gender unknown) from Baigutun Village, Wuqing District, was reported to the police and arrested on December 18, 2020. Wang’s home was ransacked. Wang was released that night.
