(Minghui.org) A Dalian City, Liaoning Province, woman was sentenced to three years and fined 20,000 yuan in September 2021 for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Fu Lihua was arrested at home on July 10, 2020, by officers of the Xigang District Police Station during a police sweep. About 30 local practitioners were arrested on July 10 and 11. Seven of the arrested practitioners were sentenced to one to nine years in December 2020.
The police submitted Ms. Fu’s case to the Xigang District Procuratorate in October 2020. She was indicted and her case was moved to the Ganjingzi District Court in December.
Ms. Fu stood trial in May 2021 and was convicted in September. She was detained at the Yaojia Detention Center following her arrest. It’s not clear if she has been taken to prison.
