(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners have continued to demonstrate the exercises, introduce the spiritual practice and tell people about the persecution in China at Renyi Lake in Chiayi, Taiwan for many years.
Renyi Lake is a popular scenic spot in south central Taiwan. During holidays, tourists come to enjoy the area’s unique geographic features, kite-flying activities, and street busking performances. Practitioners demonstrate the exercises near the main road.

A couple from Shuishang township in Chiayi County often come to the lake for a stroll. The husband said, “Watching the practitioners do the exercises makes me feel peaceful and relaxed. Despite the pandemic, these practitioners still persist. Their steadfast spirit has earned my respect and admiration.”
Spreading the Goodness of Falun Dafa
Ms. Dai, a retired kindergarten principal came from Minxiong township to participate in the activities on November 7, 2021. She said, “We want to spread the goodness of Dafa and share the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance with people.” She felt that during the pandemic, now more than ever, people need Falun Dafa.
Ms. Dai’s husband, Mr. Lin, is a retired mathematics teacher. He was recently hospitalized due to a traffic accident. During his stay in the hospital, he read Zhuan Falun. He said the accident was a blessing in disguise because he started practicing Falun Dafa. Mr. Lin said Falun Dafa is very good and he is grateful to practice, “Thank you Master for your benevolent salvation!”
“Respect and Admire Practitioners’ Steadfast Spirit”
Street busker, Ah Hong, is full of respect for practitioners’ steadfast spirit.
Street busker Ah Hong, said, “Falun Dafa is extraordinary. During the breaks in our performances, I can hear the exercise music. It makes my heart feel peaceful.” He said, “I really respect Falun Dafa practitioners’ steadfast spirit for persisting in demonstrating the exercises here for such a long time.”
Raising Awareness
Practitioners also distribute informational materials and special edition reports at the entrance of the Renyi Lake Causeway. One practitioner explained that many tourists visit the Renyi Lake Reservoir during the holidays and residents go there to fly their kites on the long causeway. “People are happy to accept the informational materials. They are interested in learning more about Falun Dafa and why the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) persecutes this spiritual practice. We also hope to provide the information to those who are interested in practicing Falun Dafa.”
Background: What Is Falun Dafa?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, and learned the five exercises have experienced uplifted health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the CCP, perceived the spiritual discipline's growing popularity as a threat to the CCP's atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, issued an order to ban the practice.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 22 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. More have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply the organ transplant industry.
Under Jiang's personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
