(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held several truth-clarification activities during the Chinese New Year season in Adelaide, giving many people an opportunity to learn what terrible things the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is responsible for.

Adelaide’s local Chinese community held activities that attracted many onlookers on February 19, 2021. Practitioners set up an information booth near the entrance to Adelaide’s Chinatown to clarify the truth and share the beauty and wonder of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Interested passersby found out about the ongoing persecution in China. Some signed the petition to show their support and others brought their friends over to the information booth. Several people asked for more flyers to take home to share with their friends and family. One person said that the CCP regime is the real virus and it must be destroyed before people will actually recover from the threat of the CCP virus (coronavirus).

Australians Awaken to the Truth

When practitioners collected signatures near the University of Adelaide, many people came over to sign the petition. Some had not heard of Falun Dafa, but after hearing about the ongoing persecution in China they decided to sign the petition. A State Museum of Art employee took a truth-clarification flyer and later came back to get another flyer about the CCP's crimes of live organ harvesting. He said he would like to learn more about Falun Dafa.

Kevin R. Hamdorf, a renowned photographer, expressed his concern about how the CCP is threatening other countries. A practitioner told him it was important to make a distinction between China and the CCP and suggested he read reliable media outlets established by Falun Dafa practitioners.

A Young Man’s Choice

Matthew Kaminski says, “The CCP is too evil!”

Matthew signed his name on the petition after he read the truth-clarification banner and posters. He had learned about the CCP’s forced live organ harvesting online and said that many people are worried about the threat of the CCP when it becomes the largest dictatorship in the world. He said, “The CCP is too evil!”

A young Vietnamese man passing by said, “I support you.” He told practitioners he had already signed the petition at an earlier event.

This young man says, “We must resist the CCP.”

A young man who took several minutes to read the banner before speaking with a practitioner said, “We must resist the CCP in order for it to feel pressured.” The practitioner pointed out the differences between China and the CCP and explained how the Chinese people are also the victims of these atrocities.

"The CCP Is the Root Cause of All Evil in this World"

During a New Year celebration in Chinatown on February 19, Falun Dafa practitioners carefully arranged a festive booth full of Chinese New Year cheer. They had stacks of the Chinese character (福) or “Blessings” written in Chinese calligraphy, truth-clarification flyers, paper lotus flowers, and traditional Chinese calligraphy and paintings. The venue was filled with festive and peaceful energy and attracted a crowd.

When several Chinese students passed by the information booth, practitioners wished them a “Happy Chinese New Year.” Some students responded, “Happy New Year!” while others took truth-clarification flyers and started to read them.

A practitioner noticed a young Chinese woman standing by the information booth for a long time. When the practitioner started to clarify the truth, the girl said that she was already aware of the persecution. The practitioner then asked her if she wanted to use the pseudonym “Fu Yuan” (福缘), meaning “predestined blessings,” to quit the CCP and its youth organizations. The girl nodded and said, “Yes.”

Some Chinese, many of them young students, recognized the evil of the CCP and were very accepting of what practitioners told them about Falun Dafa and the persecution. Most of them decided to quit the CCP and its youth organizations using pseudonyms.

Mr. Lien said, “The CCP is the virus and it must be destroyed before people can actually recover from the threat of the CCP virus (coronavirus).”
