(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 38 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Multiple Practitioners Arrested
10. [Nanpi County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
11. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners’ Homes Ransacked

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Han Yuxia and Ms. Sun Guixiang Arrested

Ms. Han Yuxia went to Ms. Sun Guixiang’s home at 10 a.m. on October 15, 2022. A police officer later came to Ms. Sun’s home and arrested both practitioners. They were taken to the Guajiasi Police Station in Hexi District. Over 10 officers ransacked Ms. Han’s home and confiscated a large number of personal items. Ms. Sun’s home was also ransacked.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Guozhen Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guozhen from the Dongxihu District was arrested while distributing Falun Gong materials in a residential community in the Dongxihu District on the afternoon of October 16, 2022.

3. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Fang Yujuan Arrested

Ms. Fang Yujuan was arrested at home by officers from the Zhaohui Police Station in the Gongshu District on the morning of September 28, 2022. A doctor who was there measured her blood pressure, which was as high as 200. Ms. Fang was forcibly taken away. She is held in the Hangzhou City Women’s Detention Center.

4. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Yuping Arrested

Director Zhang Hua led other officers from the Hanmaying Town Police Station to Ms. Sun Yuping’s home in Wuliangsu Village on October 9, 2022. They confiscated her personal belongings. Ms. Sun was reported to the police for posting materials on how to stay safe during the pandemic. She was released that day.

5. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Jielin, Ms. Gao Zhijun, and two practitioners from the Shunqing District were arrested at their homes by officers from the Xicheng Police Station in the Shunqing District on the afternoon of September 21, 2022. Mr. Zhang’s home was ransacked and his Falun Gong books were confiscated. The four practitioners were taken to the police station for interrogation.

Mr. Zhang, who is in his 70s, was released on bail on September 23 after failing the medical examination. Ms. Gao was taken to the Nanchong City Detention Center in Huafeng Town.

6. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Miao Zhongjun Held in Custody

Mr. Miao Zhongjun from the Xincheng District was arrested by officers from the Gongyuan Beilu Police Station on May 10, 2022. He was released on bail at noon on May 13.

The case against Mr. Miao was turned over to the Xincheng District Procuratorate by the Xincheng District Police Department’s Domestic Security Division. He was officially placed under arrest by the Xincheng District Procuratorate on July 25, and was held in the Xincheng District Detention Center.

It was recently reported that he could be sentenced to more than three years in prison. It is not clear where he is currently being held.

7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yuqin and Other Practitioners Harassed

On the afternoon of September 28, 2022, Ms. Zhang Yuqin was cooking at home. The village secretary of Tiaoyugou Village led director Tan Jun of the Mutoudeng Town Police Station and an officer to her home. They started taking pictures of Ms. Zhang as soon as they forcibly entered her home. Ms. Zhang did not cooperate with them.

Afterwards, director Tan and other officers went to Dazhangzi Village and Fanzhangzi Village to harass practitioners. The officers took pictures in front of the doors of practitioners’ homes, and asked the practitioners if they still practiced Falun Gong.

8. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Yu Li Held in Detention Center

Mr. Yu Li was arrested at work by officers from the Yang County 610 Office, the Hantai District 610 Office, and the Xinyuan Police Station on August 24, 2022. He is being held in the Yang County Detention Center. These people also asked around for the whereabouts of his wife Ms. Xia Jiangyan.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Multiple Practitioners Arrested

The West Coast New District Police Department and several police stations dispatched police officers at the same time to arrest numerous Falun Gong practitioners on September 26, 2022. At the time of this report, 18 practitioners are known to have been arrested, and some practitioners’ Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Those arrested include Cheng Xiantang, Shen Chuanjuan and her husband, Liu, Li Jimei, physician Zong and Zong’s spouse, Zhang Xin and her husband, Pan Guixia and her husband, Jian Qixiu, Shan Baoqin, Xu Shimei, Sun Mingxia, Li Dezhao, Meng Yingge, and Wang Lijuan. Seventeen of them returned home before September 30.

10. [Nanpi County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the township police station in Nanpi County harassed Ms. Wang Shulan, Mr. Zan Shuquan, Mr. Zhang Fashui, and Ms. Yin Hongling at their homes and photographed them on September 27, 2022.

11. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners’ Homes Ransacked

Ms. Li Huanqun, 78, from the Chengbei Sub-district, Jingyang District, was at home on September 28, 2022, when a group of people who claimed to be from the Deyang City Police Department came to ransack her home. They confiscated her Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and pressured her family members to sign paperwork. These people also ransacked the homes of Mr. Huang Guirong (80-years-old) and Ms. Guo Yuanqun.
