(Minghui.org) The Swiss branch of the International Society for the Human Rights (ISHR) and Falun Gong practitioners submitted more than 8,000 signatures to the Swiss Federal Government on December 8, 2022, on the eve of International Human Rights Day. The petition asked the Swiss Government to publicly condemn the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and to take action to end the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong.
Silvan Fedier (first from right) of ISHR and Frank Moser (second from right), a Falun Gong practitioner, submit 8000 signatures to the Swiss Federal Government asking for help to end the CCP’s organ harvesting and persecution of Falun Gong.
In a statement to media, the Swiss branch of ISHR said that, since the CCP’s crimes of organ harvesting from living people was exposed in 2006, all kinds of evidence has shown that the CCP actually harvests the organs of living detainees for huge profits. The victims have included Christians, Uyghurs, and Falun Gong practitioners.
ISHR cited the verdict report of the China Tribunal in London in March 2020 that found that the CCP has implemented state-sanctioned live organ harvesting for a long time, and Falun Gong practitioners have been the main victims. Despite extensive evidence of these crimes, the CCP has refused to admit it is guilty and has not allowed any independent investigations into the source of organs.
The statement also said that, although it is still unclear how many victims have been killed as a result of live organ harvesting, the CCP has engaged in live organ harvesting for more than 20 years. The body of evidence is compelling and sufficient for the Swiss Government to take action to publicly criticize the CCP for its crimes and call on the CCP to end its persecution.
Silvan Fedier, a representative of the ISHR, said that more and more medical experts, politicians, and ordinary people have become aware of the CCP’s crime of organ harvesting.
“It is time to take real action to stop the CCP’s crimes. Everyone should take action, whether they are politicians, people in the medical or pharmaceutical fields, or other organizations and institutions. Because this crime is so terrible, lives are lost every day. These murders must stop and cannot be left unchecked,” he said.
Frank Moser, a Falun Gong practitioner who accompanied ISHR to submit the signatures, said that he has noticed that more and more politicians and professionals have realized that the CCP’s organ harvesting really exists. Moser said that it was important to make the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners public, especially its atrocities of live organ harvesting.
He said the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong reminded him of the public’s reaction to the Nazi concentration camps. When people learned about the existence of the concentration camps, they found it hard to believe, unimaginable, and no one could have fathomed the extent of the crimes. The real situation was not known until after the fall of the Nazis, but by then it was too late to save the lives of those who’d been persecuted.
Moser also said that from talking with passersby, he has found that after people learn about the CCP’s crimes, they all agree that we must take action to stop these crimes.

Twenty-seven-year-old Florian is a nurse. He saw people collecting signatures on a petition in the center of Bern on November 5 and learned about the CCP’s live organ harvesting crimes for the first time. “This is shocking,” he said. “I can’t imagine such a thing happening.”
He signed the petition and said that he planned to learn more about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. “I hope that more people will learn about this and that fewer countries will cover up information like China has,” he said. “If enough people know about these [crimes], more people will voice their opposition.”
Beatrice Mettler signed the petition after coming across the Falun Gong practitioners’ signature drive activities on November 26. “Organ harvesting is unimaginable to me, because it completely runs counter to my beliefs and is so cruel,” she said.
She said that the CCP’s crimes should be made public and the Swiss Government should take action so that people cannot ignore it.
Christoph Rätheli is a nurse in an intensive care unit. He said that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, especially its organ harvesting “is a massive evil.”
“People are still being persecuted like this. It should not happen, and people should be able to practice [Falun Gong] without interference,” he said.
By signing the petition, he said he wanted to tell the Swiss Federal Government: “I oppose the persecution and hope that the persecution can be stopped.”
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, the late former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
