(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Yanqiu and Ms. Yang Dongmei to Be Tried
Ms. Liu Yanqiu and Ms. Yang Dongmei will be tried in the Xiantao City Detention Center at 3 p.m. on October 18, 2023. The judge assigned to the case is Zhao Yanfen.
2. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yuhua Faces a Second Hearing
Ms. Zhang Yuhua from the Daxing District was arrested on March 7, 2022, and taken to the Daxing District Detention Center. She was tried in the Daxing District Court on November 18, 2022. Ms. Zhang denied the charges against her and the trial ended without a verdict. Ms. Zhang will be tried again in the Daxing District Court at 9 a.m. on October 12, 2023.
3. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Case Against Hou Xuezheng Submitted to the Procuratorate
Hou Xuezheng from Lingshou County was arrested at home around September 19, 2023. The police ransacked Hou’s home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, a computer, etc. The police claimed Hou was a coordinator and contact person with an overseas organization and charged Hou with distributing flyers. Hou was taken to the No. 2 Detention Center and the case was submitted to the procuratorate.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Case Against Ms. Zhu Huimin Submitted to the Procuratorate
Ms. Zhu Hui was arrested at home by Jianqiao Police Station officers in the Hanyang District on April 19, 2023. She was charged with talking to a bus driver about Falun Gong. Ms. Zhu was placed under official arrest by the Hanyang District Procuratorate at the end of May 2023. She is being held in the No.1 Detention Center of Wuhan City.
5. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Four practitioners from Shipu Town in Xiangshan County were arrested on September 14, 2023. Two elderly practitioners Ms. Guo Yuxiang and Ms. Li Suhua were arrested at a farmer’s market. They were released that afternoon. Ms. Lin Li and Ms. Ye Ya, both around 50, were arrested at home. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and computers from their homes.
6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Mulan’s Family Harassed
After Ms. Liu Mulan was admitted to a detention center, her husband was harassed at home by people from the Xinzhou District Comprehensive Management Office on October 6, 2023. They told him to make sure that Ms. Liu did not practice Falun Gong after she was released. They warned him that they would not sign the release form if he did not cooperate. Ms. Liu is to be taken to the Liuji Brainwashing Center. Ms. Liu’s husband refused to comply with their demands.
7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chen Qi Arrested
Ms. Chen Qi from Yanshou County was reported to the police for distributing truth clarifying materials and was arrested on the afternoon of September 27, 2023. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, more than 100,000 yuan in cash, and other personal belongings. Ms. Cheng was taken to Harbin City the next day.
8. [Xintai City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Ms. Dong Zhihua Submitted to the Procuratorate
The case against Ms. Dong Zhihua has been submitted to the Feicheng District Procuratorate.
9. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xue Lijun Arrested and Detained
Ms. Xue Lijun from Mian County was arrested at home by 12 plainclothes officers on September 6, 2023. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, laptop, computer, etc. Ms. Xue was taken to the Huanglong Police Station for interrogation. She was detained for 15 days in the Yi County Detention Center. She was transferred to the Hantai Detention Center on September 22, 2023.
10. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Jian Arrested and Detained
Mr. Li Jian was arrested at his workplace by Xihe District Police Department officers on the morning of July 19, 2023. They took him to his father’s home and confiscated a printer and truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Li was admitted to the Fuxin Detention Center.
