(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Xiuming Held in Detention Center
2. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Case Against Ms. Fan Meiling Brought to Court
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Yafeng Held in Detention Center
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Yueming Missing
5. [Chishui City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Wang Zexuan and Ms. Liu Junmao Held in Detention Center
6. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Yuling Returns Home After Spending Three Years in Prison
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Most Practitioners Arrested Around July 20 Remain in Custody
8. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Fan Zirong and Ms. Zhang Guangjie in Custody
1. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Xiuming Held in Detention Center
Ms. Lu Xiuming, 67, was arrested a few days after September 10, 2023. She is being held in the Dezhou City Detention Center.
Ms. Lu was previously held in the police station several times and the police extorted money from her. The circumstances of her arrest were unclear.
2. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Case Against Ms. Fan Meiling Brought to Court
The case of Ms. Fan Meiling from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was filed in Langfang City Intermediate Court in Hebei Province on September 6, 2023. The presiding judge was Chen Kexiang, the director of the No. 2 Criminal Tribunal. The members of the collegial panel were Zhang Jianhua and Feng Zhengyao. Feng questioned Ms. Fan on September 14. This second instance collegial panel deprived Ms. Fan’s defender, who was her relative, of the right to meet with her or review her case.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Yafeng Held in Detention Center
Ms. Gao Yafeng from Huishan Sub-district, Shenbei District, was preparing to return to her hometown on October 3, 2023. While waiting for the train at Shenyang North Railway Station, she was arrested by officers from the Beizhan Police Station. She is being held in a detention center.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Yueming Missing
Ms. Han Yueming went out on the afternoon of October 3, 2023. She has not returned yet and her whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Chishui City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Wang Zexuan and Ms. Liu Junmao Held in Detention Center
Mr. Wang Zexuan and Ms. Liu Junmao were held in Zunyi City No. 3 Detention Center and Zunyi City No. 1 Detention Center respectively. Li Yugen from the Chishui City Police Department asked Mr. Wang’s ex-wife to pick up the arrest notice, but she did not sign it. Mr. Wang and Ms. Liu are still being held in the detention center.
6. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Yuling Returned Home After Spending Three Years in Prison
Ms. Zhang Yuling was arrested and her home was ransacked on August 19, 2020, by officers from the No. 855 Farm Police Station during the “zero-out” campaign, meant to force all practitioners to renounce their belief. She returned home on August 19, 2023, after serving a three-year prison term.
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Most Practitioners Arrested Around July 20 Remain in Custody
Most of the practitioners arrested around July 20, 2023 in Jiutai District, Changchun remain in custody. They are Wang Yajun (who was officially arrested), Liu Liying (who was officially arrested), Bai Mingxu (who was officially arrested), Wang Yafen, Fu, Zhang Miao, Lang Baiming, Liu Yufen, Niu Guibo, Wang Zhijie, and Li.
Shi Wenzhuo was secretly sentenced to prison.
Wang Guofen has not been seen or heard from since she returned home. Wang Yingjie, Liu Ming, and Li Xiaoju have returned home.
8. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Fan Zirong and Ms. Zhang Guangjie in Custody
Elderly Ms. Fan Zirong and Ms. Zhang Guangjie from Jingmen Petrochemical were arrested and their homes were ransacked on September 23, 2023. They have not yet returned home.
Ms. Fan and her husband are both in their seventies, and her husband needs her to take care of him. After Ms. Fan’s arrest, her husband is home alone and cannot adjust to managing his daily life.
