(Minghui.org) The Tian Guo Marching Band was invited to participate in the nearly century-old Christmas Parade held in Montreal, Canada on November 25, 2023. They conveyed the message of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, which was well received by the public.
The temperature that day was below freezing, and many families braved the cold and brought their children to watch. It is the most popular local parade, and tens of thousands of people attend every year.

The Tian Guo Marching Band was the largest contingent in the parade. They played Falun Dafa Is good, Drums and Trumpets Shake All Directions, and other music. People greeted them with applause and cheers of “bravo” along the route.
Wendy said that she’s seen the band perform several times, “I see them every year, and they are very heart-warming. I like them very much.”
“It’s touching,” said Mary, a Chinese spectator, when she saw the band pass by. She said that there were Falun Dafa practitioners in her workplace in China. She knows that Falun Dafa is good. When she saw such a huge Chinese band in Canada, she said, “As a Chinese, I am very proud. Falun Dafa is good.”

This was the first time Todd saw the band perform, “They are great and well organized. Although it’s so cold, their music is very nice. They are unforgettable in today’s parade. I hope to see them again next year.” After learning that the band was conveying the message of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, he said, “Yes, you can feel it from their music and the smiles on their faces.”

Sharon Pawra said that the Falun Dafa team surprised her and brought joy to the parade. When she heard that the team promoted the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, she said, “Wow, that’s amazing! I feel like that’s something to share at Christmas, everyone needs it.”

Hernando Guzman, who brought his family from the outer suburb of Repentigny to watch the parade, said that he liked the band’s performance very much and wanted to hear more. He said that his Christmas wish this year was for an end to war and world peace. When he heard the Falun Dafa team conveys the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, he immediately said, “This is a wonderful message, and this is exactly what the whole world needs.”
Background: What Is Falun Dafa?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings (which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance) and learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
