(Minghui.org) In commemoration of International Human Rights Day, Falun Dafa practitioners in Indonesia held activities on December 16, 2023 to tell people about the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa. The event was held on Jalan MH Thamrin, a main road that runs through the center of Jakarta. Practitioners displayed banners that called for an end to Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa, distributed truth-clarification materials, and spoke out against the persecution. The activity exposed the truth about the persecution and the CCP’s illegal methods behind these atrocities.
Many cars and motorcycles slowed down to read the banner information and accept practitioners’ flyers.
Gito, a spokesperson for the Falun Dafa practitioners, read a statement from the Indonesia Falun Dafa Association during the activity, “ In commemoration of International Human Rights’ Day, Falun Dafa practitioners from 44 countries have submitted evidence and a list of perpetrators who have committed the inhumane crimes in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners in China. The Republic of Indonesia was among those countries. The list detailed the serious human rights violations committed by CCP officials against Falun Dafa practitioners in China.”

Karyono, a police officer who was responsible for maintaining order during the event, told practitioners that he was highly appreciative of how orderly and peaceful they were. He led a group of 50 police officers on the day of the activity and all of them appeared to be at ease because the event was so peaceful and organized.
