(Minghui.org) The Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) International Exhibition was held in two cities in Mexico: Puebla and Guanajuato, inspiring and touching the hearts of viewers.
Congresswoman Karla Rodríguez Palacios of Puebla recommended the exhibition to the public, and expressed hope that everyone takes home the message of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.
The exhibition showcased thirty oil paintings by twelve artists from different parts of the world. Coming from varied and diverse backgrounds, they practice Falun Dafa, a practice that unites them in an effort to express the myriad of experiences they have lived.

The exhibition, which opened at the Casa de la Cultura Pedro Ángel Palou Pérez on February 21, was attended by a large number of people. Among them was the president of the Human Rights Commission of the Congress of Puebla, Congresswoman Karla Rodríguez Palacios. She said after viewing the paintings that she was, “shocked to see all these works.”
Congresswoman Karla Rodriguez Palacios speaks at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
“It seems to me that it should inspire those of us who today have a position to continue working in favor of human rights,” Congresswoman Rodriguez said. “I believe that today we have a great task to do because despite the great progress we have made in favor of human rights, there is still a lot to do.”
She was especially moved by one artworks, “The Pain of an Orphan,” a painting that shows a girl holding the ashes of her parents persecuted to death for their belief.
“That painting shook me, because as a mother it is difficult to see the vulnerability that sometimes our children live in this world, who go through trials and such complicated situations,” she said. “Seeing the face of a little girl with that pain reminds me of that part of mother that I am in this life, and it is the greatest pain that we also have as parents, to see the pain of our children.”
Congresswoman Rodriguez was moved by the plight of Falun Dafa practitioners in China, who are brutally persecuted at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She said that their freedom of expression and belief are violated.
“I think (CCP) it’s radical. I find it sad to hear these words that are so important to our society ‘Truth, Benevolence, Tolerance’ and they are banned,” she said. “I think sometimes we need to become a more humane world, more sensitive and closer to everyone around the world.”
The congresswoman highly recommended seeing this exhibition because she said the “works are extremely interesting.”
“It is going to be an extraordinary afternoon, and you are going to take an excellent message home with you,” she said.
The Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) exhibition was held at the Casa de Cultura Pedro Ángel Palou Pérez until March 19.
The art exhibition was also held in the gallery of the Centro Cultural Regional Occidente, Guanajuato City from February 20 to March 15. Many people said that the exhibition touched their hearts and inspired them to be better people. It helped them learn about the CCP’s persecution and it’s violation of human rights in China.

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology, and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 24 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
