(Minghui.org) May 13, 2023 is the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the 24th World Falun Dafa Day. Five cities including Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Loveland, Westminster, and Thornton issued proclamations to praise Falun Dafa and proclaim May 13, 2023 as Falun Dafa Day.
Proclamation from Randy Helms, President of the Colorado Springs City Council
The proclamation reads, “Colorado’s Falun Dafa Group has been hosting free offerings to the local communities in Colorado for 20 years in Colorado Springs, Denver, Boulder, Longmont, Durango, and other cities to provide the public with an opportunity to learn these ancient meditation exercises.
“Falun Dafa practitioners face brutal persecution in China since July 1999, when the former Chinese Communist dictator Jiang Zemin launched an unprecedented persecutory campaign to eradicate the practice after it outnumbered Chinese Communist Party members in 1998.
“Your support will provide recognition for the tenets of the practice: Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, which can benefit everyone. It will send a powerful message of solidarity to those suffering in China, and it will reject the Chinese regime’s campaign to wipe out a peaceful faith.”
Proclamation from Mayor Jeni Arndt of the City of Fort Collins
