(Minghui.org) Practitioners participated in Montreal’s Canada Day parade on July 1, 2023. They conveyed the message, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and celebrated Canada’s 156th birthday with the public.
The practitioners’ team was headed by the Tian Guo Marching Band, followed by an exercise demonstration team and practitioners holding colorful banners and flags. Mr. Chen, a Chinese immigrant who watches the National Day parade every year, said, “The Falun Dafa team is spectacular. Everyone should pursue Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Everyone should do this. They (Falun Dafa practitioners) have done a very good job.”

The National Day Parade is the most important summer parade in Montreal. It was raining that day, but the enthusiasm of parade participants and the public was undiminished. On St. Catherine Street in the city center, various ethnic groups in costumes sang and danced. The multiculturalism of Canada was celebrated with the resounding cheers of “Happy Canada Day.”
French Tourist: I Am Touched by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
Gaëlle, a tourist from France, said she was touched when she saw the words Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
French tourist Gaëlle said, “This team is awesome! What makes me happy is that they advocate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I really like these three words on the banner. I am moved. The band is amazing, so many different instruments, and the music is melodious.”
Elham, a student from Iran, said that the practitioners are amazing.
Elham, an Iranian student, excitedly photographed the Falun Dafa team and said, “I was really drawn to them, I really liked the colors and everything. Everything was in order and they are amazing. It was the first time I saw a parade like this and it was a pleasant surprise. It’s an honor to see a parade like this.”
After learning about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she said, “My first impression is that they bring peace and make the world a better and more peaceful place.”
Ray, an American tourist, said he likes everything Falun Dafa represents.
American tourist Ray and his wife Deb applauded enthusiastically when the Falun Gong team passed by. Ray said, “I love Falun Dafa! When their procession passed by, I felt comfortable.” He further explained, “I mean it was peaceful. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is a good concept. I like everything they present.”
Audience: The Practice is What We Need
Noshi Aziz (middle) said, “This practice is what we need.”
Accountant Noshi Aziz, her military husband Michael Collin, and her mother all like to meditate and are interested in spirituality. The entire family said they were happy to see the Falun Dafa team.
Aziz said, “I like the Falun Dafa team. Their music is great. I like it very much.” Collin said, “I also like it very much. They are great. Meditation can relax you, get you away from the hustle and bustle of the world, let go of your attachments, and improve your spirit.”
The family was happy when they learned that there were free exercise videos and free teaching classes on the Internet. Aziz said, “This world is full of stress, work, and so on. This practice is exactly what we need. I am very grateful to them for doing this. It is amazing.”

Taline, a tourist from London, England, praised the Falun Dafa team and said, “It is attractive, and it shows a unique culture and music, which is good.” When she learned that the principles of Falun Dafa are Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she said, “They are peaceful.”

Gianna, a tourist from New Jersey, in the U.S., said, “I think (the Falun Dafa team) is great and wonderful. The music is inspiring. I especially like the leaflet that says ‘improve physical and mental health,’ which is exactly what I need.”
KJ next to her added, “The music of this team makes me feel happy, and I really want to dance with it. I think Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are all very important values.”
