(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 32 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

13. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Ms. Kong Xiangyin Submitted to the Procuratorate

1. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Eight Practitioners Face Trial
Eight practitioners, including Mr. Zhang Bingliang, will be tried in the Guan County Court at 9 a.m. on August 30, 2023.
2. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] The Cases Against Four Practitioners Submitted to the Court
Four practitioners, Ms. Ge Lijuan, Ms. Chen Guifang, Ms. Jiao Linhui, and Mr. Wang Zhoulin, were arrested on May 9, 2023 and were sent to the Yantai City Detention Center and Longkou Detention Center. The cases against them were submitted to the Longkou Procuratorate on July 26, 2023 and then to the Longkou Court on August 21, 2023.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Tang Yuan, Ms. Zhang Qiaoying, and Ms. Huang Niang, 86, were arrested in front of the Ma’an Road Fresh Market at 10 a.m. on August 29, 2023.
4. [Shanghai] Ms. Cao Yueling and Ms. Chen Yan Persecuted
Ms. Cao Yueling was arrested in the Taoxian Airport, Shen Yang City on August 24, 2020 when she was on the way to visit her twin sons in Shanghai. She was sent to the Xinbin Detention Center in Fushun City and was later sentenced to three years in prison. She was detained in the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison before she was released on August 23, 2023.
Ms. Chen Yan, Ms. Cao Yueling’s mother, was arrested when she tried to rescue her daughter. She was later sentenced to three years in prison and was sent to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison. She should be released on September 20, 2023.
5. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiao Shuxiang and Mr. Wu Xuezhang Arrested and Detained
Ms. Qiao Shuxiang and Mr. Wu Xuezhang from Quzhou County were arrested at 11 p.m. on August 13, 2023. Ms. Qiao is held in the No. 3 Detention Center of Handan City. Mr. Wu was sent to the Situan Detention Center in Quzhou County.
6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Missing
Five practitioners from Jiutai District were recently missing. They are Zhang Yuhua, Shi Lian, Niu Yujuan, Lang Damin, and Xiao Gao.
7. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Pei Hong Missing
Ms. Pei Hong has been missing since late June 2023.
8. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Minghua Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wang Minghua from Eyi District was arrested at home by officers from the Huimin Police Station on August 16, 2023. She was held for 13 days in the Lajiatan Detention House and was released on August 29, 2023.
9. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cao Yumei Arrested and Detained
Ms. Cao Yumei was arrested on July 21, 2023 and sent to the Gongzhuling City Detention Center before she was released on bail on August 29, 2023.
10. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Huang Yanli Missing
Mr. Huang Yanli from Xi’an District has been missing since August 19, 2023.
Mr. Huang was arrested in July 2023 and was released one day later.
11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Ma Arrested and Detained
Ms. Ma from the Wuchang District was arrested by officers from the Xujiapeng Police Station and was held for 15 days in the No. 2 Detention House of Wuhan City. She has now returned home.
12. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Jinying’s Home Ransacked
Ms. Zhao Jinying’s home was ransacked by officers from the Guangming Police Station on the morning of August 27, 2023. Ms. Zhao was not at home at that time. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and other items. They contacted Ms. Zhao and told her to go to the police station the next day.
13. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Ms. Kong Xiangyin Submitted to the Procuratorate
Ms. Kong Xiangyin, over 60, was arrested when she distributed information about Falun Gong on August 4, 2023. Ms. Kong is detained in the Dongguan Police Station in Kuiwen District. Her case was submitted to the Kuiwen District Procuratorate.
14. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Huaiqin Arrested
Ms. Huang Huaiqn from Xinjin District was arrested by officers in Qionglai City on September 5, 2023. She was later released on bail pending trial for one year. Her case will be submitted to the Qionglai City Procuratorate.
