(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 24 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Hongzhi Imprisoned
Ms. Zhao Hongzi, 84, was sentenced to four years in prison in 2021. It was not implemented because of the pandemic. The procuratorate called her son on January 10, 2024, and told him that she’d been taken to Zaohua Prison.
2. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Detained in a Brainwashing Center
Five practitioners were taken to a brainwashing center in the Rujia Hotel around January 9, 2024. They are Ms. Xu Chunying, Geng Haiji, Mr./Ms. Sheng, Ms. Yao Shuping, and Ms. Jia Haibo (Ms. Yao’s daughter).
3. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Ding Gan Faces Trial
Mr. Ding Gan was scheduled to be tried in the Wuzhong City Intermediate Court at 9 a.m. on January 15, 2024.
4. [Beizhen City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Caili Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Caili from Liutun Village was arrested by officers from the Qingduizi Town Police Station on January 4, 2024. She was given 15 days of detention and was taken to the Jinzhou City Detention House.
5. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Li Dongyin Faces Trial
Mr. Li Dongyin from Feng County was recently transferred from the Feng County Detention Center to the Qishan Detention Center. The Jintai District Court informed his lawyer that he will be tried soon.
6. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qi Yajie Arrested
Mr. Qi Yajie was arrested in the Wendeng District on January 7, 2024.
7. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Liu Fu’an and His Wife Ms. Hao Ping Arrested and Detained
Mr. Liu Fu’an and his wife Ms. Hao Ping from Qujiagou Village were arrested on the afternoon of January 10, 2024. Their home was ransacked and their computer was confiscated. The two were taken to a detention center.
8. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Sizhi and Mr. Shao Fangdong Arrested
Several practitioners in Dehui City, including Ms. Zheng Sizhi and Mr. Shao Fangdong, have been arrested since January 5, 2024.
9. [Chongqing] Mr. Fei Mingyan Harassed
Mr. Fei Mingyan was harassed at home by Wen Deqiang and two other officers from the Wanshouqiao Village Police Station in Shuitu Town on the afternoon of January 9, 2024. They took photos.
10. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Chen Qing and Mr. Liu Jihong Harassed
Mr. Chen Qing from Mian County was harassed at home by three officers from the Chengxi Police Station around December 2, 2023. They pressured him to sign something, but he refused.
Mr. Liu Jihong from Mian County was harassed at work by three officers from the Junshan Police Station on December 10, 2023. They pressured her to sign something but she refused to.
11. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Zhi Liu Arrested
Mr. Zhi Lu from Mian County was arrested at home by officers from the Chengxi Police Station around September 20, 2023. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Gong books, and other items. Mr. Zhi was taken to the Huanglong Police Station and released the next day.
12. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Du Suhui and Her Brother Mr. Du Sumin Arrested or Harassed
Ms. Du Suhi was arrested on December 7, 2023, and detained. Her older brother Mr. Du Sumin went to the Jiaqi Road Police Station on January 10, 2024, to inquire about his sister’s case and learned that she’d bee officially arrested. The next morning, three plainclothes officers knocked on his door and tried to get in.
13. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. You Guangqing Arrested and Detained
Ms. You Guangqing from Chaoyang Township in the Shuangcheng District was arrested at home on December 8, 2023. She is being held in No.2 Detention Center of Harbin City.
14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Na Junpeng Detained for Nine Months
Mr. Na Junpeng was arrested on April 25, 2023. He was tried around September or October 2023 and sentenced to nine months in prison. He will be released on January 25, 2024.
15. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Wenying and Wang Hong Detained
Several practitioners including Ms. Xu Wenying and Wang Hong were harassed or arrested by officers from the Harbin Railway Police Department on December 13, 2023. Ms. Xu and Ms. Wang are being held in a detention center.
