(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 4 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Ying Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison
2. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pan Guizhi Arrested
3. [Chenxi County, Hunan Province] Mr. Hu Zihua’s Hearing Canceled
4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Mingfang Harassed
1. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Ying Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison
Ms. Liu Ying was arrested on March 18, 2024, and has been detained in the Suihua City Detention Center. She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan by the Hailun City Court. She has appealed her sentence.
2. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pan Guizhi Arrested
Ms. Pan Guizhi was arrested by Majiadian Town Police Station officers on November 4, 2024, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong in Majiadian Town Market. Her home was ransacked that day, and Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder were confiscated. She was given 15 days at the Dandong City Lockup.
3. [Chenxi County, Hunan Province] Mr. Hu Zihua’s Hearing Canceled
Mr. Hu Zihua was scheduled to stand trial in the Xiangzhou District District in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, on November 18, 2024. He and his lawyer insisted on attending the session in person, but judge Hu Xiaoqing scheduled a virtual hearing. Mr. Hu protested adamantly, so the judge had to cancel the session.
Mr. Hu of Chenxi County, Hunan Province, was arrested at his son’s home in Zhuhai on December 24, 2023. He has been detained in Zhuhai ever since. After a tumor was found in his abdomen, his family insisted that the authorities release him for medical treatment, but to no avail.
4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Mingfang Harassed
Ms. Wu Mingfang was harassed at home by Officer Fan and three others from the local community office on October 24, 2024. Several Falun Gong books were confiscated.
