(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Shi Guifen from Jinshantun District was reported to police for using paper bills printed with information about Falun Gong. She was arrested on November 29, 2024. Her home was ransacked. Five cell phones and some cash were confiscated. 

Mr. Sun Yongjie works at a supermarket as a cashier. He was accused of giving people paper bills printed with Falun Gong information and was arrested on December 4, 2024. His home was ransacked. The police confiscated two bags of Falun Gong books, USB drives, 20,000 yuan in cash, and a cell phone.

Mr. Feng Guoqing was arrested in Meixi District on the afternoon of December 4, 2024. His home was ransacked.

Ms. Zhu Xiuyan was arrested on the evening of December 5, 2024.

2. [Julu County, Hebei Province] Mr. Lu Gang Denied Family Visits While Serving Prison Term

Mr. Lu Gang was arrested on July 20, 2023 and sentenced to five years in prison on June 14, 2024. He is currently detained in Jidong Prison. Because he refused to give up practicing Falun Gong, his family weren’t allowed to visit him and his lawyer only managed to meet with him once. His mother passed away while he was detained. His lawyer tried to get permission for Mr. Lu to attend her funeral, but his request was denied.

3. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yan Xiling Arrested

Ms. Yan Xiling was arrested at noon on November 29, 2024. She is detained in the Weifang Detention Center.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Haiyan Arrested

Ms. Chen Haiyan from Lvjiatuo Sub-district in Guye District was arrested at home by officers from the Nanfan’gezhuang Town Police Station on December 5, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was given 10 days in the Geye District Lockup.

5. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Jiuju Interrogated Four Times

Ms. Zhou Jiuju was harassed at home on the morning of September 20, 2024. Officers from the Gulou Police Station, led by Shen Jianhua, head of the Dongchangfu District Domestic Security Division, ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder and some paper bills printed with Falun Gong information. Since then, Ms. Zhou has been interrogated four times, including three times at the police station and once at the Dongchangfu District Procuratorate.

6. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cao Xici Arrested and Detained

Ms. Cao Xici was arrested when talking to people about Falun Gong at Nanzhiqiu Market on the morning of December 3, 2024. She was first taken to the Nanzhiqiu Town Police Station for interrogation and then to the Xinji City Police Department.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiao Lihua Arrested and Detained

Ms. Jiao Lihua from Nanguanling Sub-district of Ganjingzi District, about 70, was arrested by officers from the Nanguanling Police Station on the morning of November 27, 2024. She is currently detained in the Qianshan Road Lockup.

8. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Hongwei Arrested and Detained

Mr. Li Hongwei was arrested by officers in Chengde County on November 21, 2024. He was released on December 6, 2024 after weeks of detention at the Chengde City Detention Center.
