(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 2 cities, where at least 2 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Juan Imprisoned
2. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Li Arrested
1. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Juan Imprisoned
Ms. Zhang Juan, from the Ganyu District, was arrested on April 16, 2022. She was held in the Lianyungang City Detention Center for 18 months before she was sentenced to three-and-a-half-years in prison. She appealed to the Lianyungang Intermediate Court. She was sent to the Nantong Women’s Prison in mid to late January, 2024.
2. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Li Arrested
Ms. Yang Li distributed Falun Gong flyers on February 8, 2024. Big data monitoring system tracked her to her home in the Pearl River Taiyangcheng Residential Area. Her non-practitioner husband was frightened and forced her to report to the police station. The police took her to the city police department. She was released the next day.
