(Minghui.org) I live in a small mountain town. Few people live in the area, and most of them know about Falun Dafa. They know which residents practice Falun Dafa and where we meet to read the teachings. Nearly every household has a Minghui calendar and Dafa materials that practitioners gave them.
Last summer I got a ride to a farmer’s market on an electric tricycle taxi. I asked the driver Ming, if he heard about quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations.
He said, “Yes, there are many practitioners in this area and they told me about it. I didn’t spend much time in school so I didn’t join any CCP organizations.”
He explained that from his own experience and other people’s experiences he knew the CCP was terrible and that Falun Dafa was good. As we rode down a main road, Ming greeted every oncoming driver with, “Falun Dafa is great!” He did this all the way to the market.
“You know, calling out this phrase makes me feel really good!” he said. “I don’t think anyone else dares to do it [because of the persecution]. But I’m not a practitioner so the authorities can’t do anything to me.”
Ming learned I was a practitioner. Because I worked a night shift every two days, he gave me a ride whenever he saw me. “No need to pay me,” he often said. “We are friends.”
But I insisted, “I can’t take advantage of you.”
He greeted me when he saw me walking. If he already had a customer, he picked me up on the way back and drove me to work. I always paid him the regular fare. I was happy for him because of what he said in support of Dafa.
