(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Qi Ruiying’s case was submitted to the Pingdu Court.
Ms. Sun Chunhua from the Jianxi District distributed Falun Gong flyers in Gushui on March 14, 2024. Police identified her through the Luoyang big data system. She was arrested by Luoyang Domestic Security Division officers on March 15. They seized her notebook computer, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books and printouts, as well as more than 10,000 yuan in cash from her home. She is being held in either the Mangshan Detention Center or Detention House.
Ma Hui, gender unknown, has been missing since March 9 or 10, 2024.
Ms. Fu Jing was arrested on March 26, 2024. She was sent to the Qiqihar City Detention Center on March 27.
Yang Maolin, 74, gender unknown, was arrested by officers from the Suizhong Airport Police Station on March 24, 2024, for talking to others about the persecution of Falun Gong. Yang is being held in the Huludao Detention Center.
Ms. Shi Ruxia of Shuangluan District was detained for 14 days in the Shuangfengsi Detention Center. She was released on March 28, 2024.
Two practitioners from the Wuchang District, Ms. Zhang Xiaohua, 75, and Ms. Qian, 76, first name unknown, were arrested at the end of November 2023 when they were reading a Falun Gong book in a practitioner’s home. Officers arrested all nine people who were there, took them to their local police stations, questioned them separately, and released them to their families that night.
Ms. Zhang’s and Ms. Qian’s homes were ransacked around Chinese New Year 2024. They were put into a brainwashing center. Ms. Qian was released.
Ms. Yuan Sangui, 77, lives in Sijialiang Town, Beibei District. Officer Zhu Hongliang from the Sijialiang Police Station and town government officials—four people in all—went to her home to harass her on March 27, 2024. She stopped them from entering.
Three people who claimed they were from the procuratorate came. After they entered her home, they took photos without her permission, searched for her Falun Gong books, and tried to take away a picture of the founder of Falun Gong and other items. She reprimanded and stopped them. They left 30 minutes later.
