(Minghui.org) This year marks the 32nd anniversary of the public introduction of the spiritual practice Falun Dafa (or Falun Gong) on all continents, and the 25th annual World Falun Dafa Day celebration. Since 2000, practitioners around the world have observed May 13 as a special day, since it was the day the practice was introduced to the world and is also the birthday of the practice’s founder, Master Li Hongzhi.
In Romania, World Falun Dafa Day was celebrated with a series of activities that began on the coast on May 5 and culminated in the capital on May 14.
In the seaside city of Constanta, Falun Dafa practitioners set up an information booth on May 5, providing locals and tourists with informational materials, answering their questions.
On May 11, the practitioners organized an informational event at the entrance to King Michael I Park in Bucharest. On May 13, they held a peaceful demonstration at the Chinese Embassy.

A mother, Carmen, her husband Istvan, and their two daughters were happy to hear that there was a group of people following good values in society today. Upon hearing about Falun Dafa’s principles from a practitioner, Carmen turned to her older daughter Ema and said, “This person is promoting something very beautiful but which has been lost in society—that is honesty, uprightness, and a good heart.”

A young man, Mihai, said that the teachings are great and that the practice was great for maintaining health. He was sad to hear that Falun Dafa is suppressed in China.
“Qigong used to be commonplace on the streets of China as I remember in the 1980s, I mean it was commonplace, people went out to exercise, it was healthy and normal,” he said.

On May 11, practitioners hosted an information event at the entrance to King Michael I Park in Bucharest, where they demonstrated the exercises and handed out information material to passers-by. Interested people stopped to learn more and expressed support for ending the persecution. They also said they hope that the values promoted by Falun Dafa, such as truth, compassion and tolerance, would better society.

Adelina and Izabela, two 9th grade girls, were interested in learning about Falun Dafa because it’s based on traditional Chinese culture, which they love. Reading the principles, they exclaimed, “How wonderful!”
A practitioner explained that it is China’s ancient culture that brings truth, kindness and forbearance to today’s society.
“If these principles were followed in everyday life the world would be a better place,” said Adelina. Izabela added, “It would be wonderful if everyone followed them.” The young women wished practitioners success in what they do.
